"Sanity is not statistical." (1984)
"What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow /
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man, /
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only /
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats, /
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief, /
And the dry stone no sound of water..." (Eliot, "The Waste Land")
"Do not conquer the world with force, for force only causes resistance. Thorns spring up when an army passes. Years of misery follow a great victory. Do only what needs to be done without using violence." (Tao Te Ching)
"It doesn't make a damned bit of difference who wins the war to someone who's dead." (Catch-22)
"I came to you for a crown and you offered me a kingdom" (Written on the Body)
"...any animal can fight with it's body - bears, lions, boars, wolves, dogs can all do it, and most of them are stronger and fiercer than we are - but what raises us above them is our reason and intelligence (Thomas More, 'Utopia')"

Heroes
People who raise their voices in adverse situations.
Real Leaders
People who sacrifice for the good of others
The Peaceful
He who oppresses the poor to enrich himself will yield up his gains to the rich as sheer loss. (Proverbs 22:16)
My goal in life is to tackle a ghost. That, and write something that makes people change their perspective. I want to travel my life away. I would rather have dope stories than dope cars, dope rhymes than dope rims, and a smile on my face when I die rather than a smile on my bankers face when I retire.

Leading Shadow:
From the mouth of our leader comes flowers
snipped into bouquets and replanted
in glass. Roots swish in the current of water
gripping nothing but the illusive molecule.
The Oracle at Delphi plans the attack -
Priests interpret the inspired speeches
made by the earth, vented through the fault line
below the white alter, that cause convulsions.
In a gutted church of the Reformation,
built by men, are columns of promise
and arches of tradition. A pre-emptive
extemporal rhetoric in the nave portico
echoes in white-space between this word,
free in the mind of the people to interpret.
