Trabant's five members come from very different backgrounds in the Reykjavik music scene: One rap producer with the sailors blood pumping; a death metal guru, a crazy in the head champion DJ; a preachers son and the former boyband star.
Together, all these influences explode in the mighty Trabant.
For the past nine years in various guises, Trabant have worked in each others pockets endlessly circulating the Reykjavik music scene.
Long periods of experimentation and isolation within smoke-filled rooms, with cheap vodka and computers equate to a perfectly formed eclectic battle-field sound.
Highly energetic live performances with their reputation proceeding them has lead to somewhat of an excitable following of this Icelandic 5 piece and things are just about to get going.
The small, isolated country of Iceland still remains one of the top favourites when it comes to the production of spunky and innovative rock and kandy coloured, avant-garde pop music. This baby faced volcanic Island sits below the Artic Circle and is as much of an unexplainable beauty as is the band that is native to it.
Trabant can only be explained as a rare treat of loveliness with goodness oozing from every electronic synth and sound that they produce. The boys are extremely more-ish with their quirky and inventive music and their intriguing charm verges on what can only be described as addictive.
With a habit of collecting age old instruments, Trabant resourcefully remain to instill all that is great about impulsive music making.
And do you know what???? We love it!.....................
Yes it's all true, a gap has been found in the hardcore raving schedule and, like a magical golden condor egg, 60 minutes of top notch party action have been laid down as an offering to you, the ravers. Hopefully you'll enjoy it, it kind of hurts laying a golden condor egg. But don't think of the pain of the Outlaw, get swept away by the magical wonder of rave. That's enough of that anyway. There's a picture of the cover below with the tracks (all 54 of them) lovingly written on it. Click on it and your download into the world of wonderment will begin!
