Trace Elemental is the name given to a prog/metal/punk recording project based in Southern California. First Envisioned in late 2005 when Aaron was playing in the band 'Kill Davey', a demo was recorded but not promoted.
After a modest 2 year run, Kill Davey called it a day in summer of 2007, and Trace Elemental was reborn with the goal of making a rock record that included a subtle landscape of various tonal experimentations. In April of 2008, a two song bedroom style recording took place in Irvine, CA which would be the second attempt to gain a unique, distinguishable sound. While there was some progress made, several songs were built up and tore down with the realization of an inner creative process still maturing. The remainder of 2008 was dedicated to writing and dreaming.
In 2009, Aaron relocated to San Diego and about 2 more sets of songs were scrapped before another series of pre-production recordings began in August. As of November, a new record is in its middle stages of production (we're happy with the song arrangements/vocals/lyrics) and will be ready to rock early 2010.
