Fave single of all time - New Radicals' You Get What You Give
But to list my favourite hundred would be much harder...there would be about 1000 songs struggling for a place.
Always loved Dexys, The Beat, Squeeze, was huge fan of The Q-Tips.
Fav albums would include:-
Bright Idea - Orson
Sweets From A Stranger - Squeeze
Miracle - Kane Gang
Songs About Jane - Maroon Five
Searching For The Young Soul Rebels - Dexys
I Just Can't Stop It/Wha'ppen - The Beat (and Mr Wakeling is a thoroughly nice, bang on person.)
What's Going On - Marvin Gaye
Flesh and Blood - Roxy Music
Off The Wall - Michael Jackson
...and fav singles are as varied as
Ms Grace - The Tymes
September - Earth, Wind & Fire
Liar - Henry Rollins...how insightful?
Then Jerico - Big Area
Wah - Story Of The Blues
Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack
Supremes - Stoned Love
Lola - The Kinks
DOA - The Foo Fighters
...so it's a very eclectic mix and we'll be here forever if I try to go on!
Movies
Crash (not the pervy one, the Oscar winning one!) This Is Spinal Tap The Green Mile To Kill A Mockingbird All The Terminators and Die Hards Lost In Translation...love Bill Murray to bits so I even watch Scrooged all year round! I love movies...it would take forever to list them all.
Television
Clocking Off The Larry Sanders Show - these 2 shows are probably the best TV shows ever made and so little is available on DVD! King Of The Hill I'm Alan Partridge Life On Mars 24 Buffy The Vampire Slayer Angel CSI:Vegas The Sopranos
Books
To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee Murder At The Farm - Paul Foot Ian St.James Jeffery Deaver Michael Connolly James Herbert(and met him a couple of times, ranking high up there amongst my fav memories) All good crime/thrillers
Heroes
Martin Jol....still. And of course, Harry Redknapp now.

About me:
DAYTIME PRESENTER AT SOUTHEND RADIO 105.1
Been DJ-ing for several years now. I've spent many years on breakfast shows, including being part of the Morning Crew at Essex FM with Mikey, breakfast presenter at Soul City and breakfast presenter at Dream 107.7 - so I'm generally quite knackered. Now at Southend Radio and it's great to be working with so many old friends and many new ones. Different sort of show for me so it's a challenge and another string to my bow. My Saturday show is where I indulge my muso side a bit more.. As quite a few comments below make reference to the 80s/singles etc....yes, that was me, too. Used to sing a bit - only a bit, though! But that's about to change (see below & blog). My waking hours are filled with kids, Spurs, music, dogs, cats and work.
PRIVATE PROFILES - Sorry, but if you ask to be added as a friend and I am unable to view your profile first (ie, it's set to private) I won't add you.
UNEXPECTED MUSIC NEWS - I made two unexpected returns to singing recently...one was at the 100 Club last summer, which was a pleasure to do for Graham and Jim (check out Who Brings Joy in my Top Friends) and the other was in February. I was asked to do an interview and live performance for The Infernal Racket Show (again, see Top Friends). With no comeback in the offing and nothing to promote, I'm not sure why I agreed, except that I like the show the guys were doing and, as radio is my thing now, I wanted to show them support. Huge thanks to Matthew Swain (yep, Top Friends again....) for his help in putting together a new version of one of my old tracks, which you can see/hear below. Best of luck to Darren and Charlie with their new venture, whatever that may be!
Which leads me on to the MOST unexpected news....it has just been confirmed that I will be performing one more time as Tracie Young. I will be supporting Billy Franks at the Shepherds Bush Empire on June 6th 2009. The blog has more details...please take a look and msg me if you are coming along on the night. Before then, there will probably be a fundraiser (for Havens Hospices) at Chinnerys in Southend, with The Gift...details nearer the time. I will be singing a few numbers from their set with them but it will not be a Tracie Young gig, as such. Still a good night though, I hope, and we obviously want to raise lots of cash on the night.
Very many thanks for the add and equally welcome to my 'Space'.
Congratulations on your Shepherd's Bush gig success and very best of luck for your new CD!
I really have to say, in visiting your page to leave this comment for you, I was totally amazed to find you have posted my video 'Kilimanjaro' (T.Alexander) - wow - thanks!
