When St. Thomas, Ontario singer Traci Kennedy expresses her love of country music through her artistry, it’s very easy to recognize, she is a country girl through and through. Now, with her much anticipated debut CD “How Many Hearts” in hand, and a myriad of fresh accolades to her credit, Kennedy’s star is about to shine brighter than ever before.

In 2007 & 2008, Traci was the only independent Canadian act chosen to perform at the legendary WYCD Downtown Hoedown in Detroit which included such acts as Little Big Town, Emerson Drive, Billy Currington & Gretchen Wilson. In 2006, Traci opened for Lonestar in Michigan, and she brought the house down at the famous Gilley’s in Dallas, Texas. 2006 also saw Traci finish as a Top 6 Finalist in the “All American Superstar” competition where she competed as the only Canadian artist. She appeared at the Mid-American Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky,... the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas....and the Nashville Trucking Show in Nashville, Tennessee. In October of 2007, Traci won Best Country Female Artist and Best Country Album awards in the Independent Artist category with Toronto Exclusive Magazine. A peak into the past reminds us of Traci’s early success, as the 1999 Canadian Open Country Singing Contest champion, and 2003 Ontario champ.

Currently, Traci is featured in the newest Hakim Optical tv commericals and on September 18th, will be seen on CMT’s Karaoke Star, where she is a top 10 contender for the Toronto area hoping to take top honours to win $10,000!
