Tracy Chamberlain is one of Country Music’s ‘best kept secrets’. With the uncomplicated optimism of a hometown beauty queen, this dark haired beauty is a proverbial breath of fresh air in the country music landscape.
Tracy’s career trajectory has been on a steady rise, as evidenced by her string of wins at various singing competitions across Canada. She is the two-time winner of the North Bay Heritage Festival in North Bay ON, as well as a provincial finalist in the 2004 Project Discover; a feat that prompted Aaron Lines to invite her onstage with him at the Timmins Fan Fest.
In 2005, Tracy won the BCCMA Talent Search; the event where award-winning producer Tom McKillip first heard her. He was so intrigued by her incredible range and warm, melting tone; he invited her into the studio to record.
Performing at the ‘2007 Merritt Walk of Stars Gala’ Tracy mesmerized her audience with her compelling performance. During the sound check for this event, her incredible voice made everyone stop dead in their tracks to listen to her sing. Considering these people were mostly professional singers, songwriters, and musicians; many of North America’s finest, with rapt attention, they immediately recognized Tracy as a tremendous talent. Also in 2007, Tracy toured throughout B.C. with Prairie Oyster and The Cruzeros. Placing first in the 2007 BC Talent Search, Tracy followed up with five appearances at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival.
Her nomination at the 2008 BCCMA Awards for the ‘Horizon Award’ earned Tracy the only standing ovation of the night in which she was very honored.
For her up and coming debut album due out in 2009, Tracy has chosen songs she can deliver from her heart. With her unmistakable, undeniable, incredible voice, she plans to take you on a journey with every performance, a performance that will always leave you wanting more.
