Some of the vocal tracks for ONE MORE NIGHT were recorded at MacAlley Studios in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A special thanks to Ian for all his help.
Deanna Cash was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, a small town about 3 hours from Portland. Music was always playing in her home when she was growing up. Laying in front of her parents stereo, closing her eyes and listening to Patsy Cline, Barbara Mandrell and Dolly Parton just planted big dreams and a passion for singing songs that would touch peoples hearts. Family reunions and get togethers were always planned around campfire sing alongs, and those memories are ones she would like to bring back to families.
Being born very poor, the love of music saved her and gave her a place to run where there was peace and passion. Deanna remembers when the highlight of the week was Saturday night, when Hee Haw would come on the television.. it was a Family Night!
Deanna Cash has sang in many clubs with many different bands off and on over the years. Her passion has always been writing which she indulged in at every opportunity. Her first attempts at writing was with screen plays and poems. With her love for music and her talent for writing, it seemed the logical next step should be songwriting, which she accomplishes with great success.
Deanna was brought into a love of music from her first memories of singing with her dad. He gave her the love of music and always made her feel like she was meant to be doing this. As a matter of fact, all of Deanna's brothers and sisters and family have continually encouraged her to pursue her goals in a music career, but always her Dad Harley being her biggest fan. Sitting in front of the campfires with her Mom Nancy and her dad and family really made an impact of how much music was the one thing that brought her peace. Kalea Marie was her driving desire to make it happen. Katie was the bulldozer!! Josh, Jordan, Seth and Jaden inspired her to keep dreaming...Classes at NSAI brought her the wonderful friend in Brian White who took her under his wing and taught a very determined girl how to really write a song. Her best friend Nancy whom she could not live without was the final push to get her out there and make it happen. The friends she has made here brought her to Nashville and now her story continues............Deanna made the opportunity to produce some demo recordings of her own written material and posted some of them on her web site, while continuing to chase her dreams by writing and co-writing new material. It was by chance and coincidence that Deanna met James Paycheck, and the two decided to put their talents together with the idea of a neo-traditional sounding duet team mixed with and even blend of modern country music, known as CASHnCHECKS, being inspired by such legends as Johnny & June, George & Tammy, Loretta & Conway, Keith & Lori, Tim & Faith... The future is open and she is going in full force with a wonderful Partner and friend. Deanna has been instrumental in designing the new "One More Night" album graphics lending her artistic taste to the image of the group, being the obvious "modern" member of the group.
James Paycheck was born to a hard drinking, country music singing father and a hard working mother that struggled to keep the family together. He has been performing on stage since the age of 9 years old when he played on an old accoustic guitar that was almost bigger than he was. Being from a famous family in the country music world has been both good and bad for James. He has played with many different musicians and too many bands, some good and some very good. The idea of a male/female duet group has been a dream of his for a very long time, with the image of trying to follow in the footsteps of some of his idols that have become legends in their field and have rarely been duplicated. After trying all the various forms of music there is he continuously comes back to his roots of traditional country music. Combining talents with the spectacular Deanna Cash has made the possibility of an authentic neo-traditional country duet a reality plus the added attraction of the more popular crossover style modern country music that Deanna is known for. The new album of CASHnCHECKS, One More Night, has music ranging from very neo-traditional country right up to the more modern crossover style country, demonstrating the couples range of songs they lovingly give to their fans.
The musical style of the couple blends neo-traditional and modern crossover country music to the applause of the fans that have their appreciation for the versatility of the couple. There is even talk of a gospel album in the near future. Onstage Deanna & James perform their own original songs singing solo and duets, blending it all with favorites written by other artists.
The CASHnCHECKS album "One More Night" contains an original song written by Johnny Cash and June Carter plus an original unreleased song written by June, for her and J.R. Two songs on the album were written by the famous song writing team of John Rich and Gretchen Wilson plus a collaborated song with Vince Gill.

"Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash" "Darlin' Companion" is a song written by Johnny Cash and performed with June on the Folsom Prison Live album."Tall Lover Man" is a song written by June Carter Cash which was never released.
