Tracy Montoya's Interests
General
Reading, buying more books than I can cram into my house, writing, scuba diving, yoga, forgetting to go to the gym, badly playing the guitar and pretending I'm Suzanne Vega.
Music
Toad the Wet Sprocket, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, the Police/Sting, Alana Davis, Imogen Heap, Loreena McKennitt, Ozomatli. Basically, other than a few esoteric musicians/bands, I'm stuck in the 90s when it comes to music.
Movies
Rear Window, the Philadelphia Story, the old-school Star Wars trilogy (because in my mind, there are only three SW movies), the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Strictly Ballroom.
Television
I like forensic dramas with interesting characters--currently Bones and the Closer. I rabidly follow Project Runway, desperately miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, desperately hope Reaper won't get cancelled because of the writers' strike (Go, writers!), and I now officially love Ugly Betty.
Books
The Awakening, by Kate Chopin; The Eight, by Katherine Neville; Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series; Juliet Marillier's Sevenwaters trilogy; Esperanza's Box of Saints, by Maria Amparo Escandon; all things Jane Austen; Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card; David Weber's Honor Harrington series; anything by Suzanne Brockmann; Bingo and Six of One by Rita Mae Brown; The God of Small Things, by Arundhati Roy; and way too many more.
Heroes
Hildegard von Bingen. Nellie Bly. Susan B. Anthony and her contemporaries. Anyone who's made the leap from wannabe to artist, paid or not.
About me: I write romantic suspense for Harlequin Intrigue, and I'm a nonprofit magazine editor in my other life. I also have a special gift for making myself sound like a crashing bore in profiles.
UPCOMING RELEASES:

Hey, Tracy, just checking in to see if you got a new book for me to read yet:) I read and re-read I'll be watching you. Still think it would make an excellent movie.
Hi, novel-storm,com finally went live last week and I would love it if you registered. It's FREE and takes seconds and I think you'll love the site! Visit the new books category and read dreamer by Peter Cooper - it's a beautiful, but tragic story. I look forward to seeing you there and in the forums!
Tried to read "I'll Be Watching You" at a Tampa Bay Rays game, but the dang mascot kept snatching it away and running! I finally got it back, stuck in my purse and watched the stupid game instead. Urrgh!
I'll Be Watching You... I just got my copy yesterday and could not put it down. Stayed up half the night reading. Finished it about 15 minutes ago. We are talking movie of the week, right?!:)
