About me:

I was the one who always swore that I would never get married and absolutely NEVER have kids. But I went ahead and got married and had three beautiful babies. And now I'm divorced and trying to figure out how to be a single mom, work, and figure out who the hell I am. I'm very much like my father used to be: optimistic, hopeful, and need to be happy and content with where and who I am. My father and I used to have long talks where he would ramble on about his theories about the evil of "The Man", destinies, etc. One night he said something to me and now I finally get what he meant. He said: Tracy, when you get married, make sure it's to a man who accepts you for all that you are, oddities and all. And even more, he needs to have a few oddities of his own that he's not afraid to share with you. You have to be able to be yourself or you will start to suffocate. It took me a while, but I get it. And I'm finally following my father's advice. Where ever he may be, heaven, spirit, whatever, I hope he sees me and is finally proud of me.

Who I'd like to meet:

Someone who loves to laugh, not at me, with me.

Interests

  • General

Writing, lots and lots of writing. When I was younger, I always had a notebook with me to write down any thoughts or something that a person said that I knew I'd want to remember.
  • Music

I was raised by a hippy so Southern Classic rock is always a first on my list. I'm also into alternative rock. I still play Alice In Chains, Dave Matthews Band, and The Killers on my Ipod every day. I also love The Killers, Kings of Leon, and, the oddball, Keith Urban.
  • Movies

My favorites are Brigitte Jone's Diary, Raising Arizona, Napoleon Dynamite, Pretty In Pink, And The Breakfast Club, Borat, Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, The Bourne Movies, Twilight (I was a little late seeing it but now that I have, I'm hooked!), Pride and Prejudice, Eward Scissorhands, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and my holiday favorite, A Christmas Story.
  • Books

Wicked, Son of A Witch, Confessions of An Ugly Stepsister, Angels and Demons, The Davinci Code, Twilight, Pride and Prejudice, The Harry Potter Series, The Spiderwick Chronicles
  • Heroes

My hero would have to be my Grandmother. She grew up in hard times, one of 13 kids, she met my grandfather and they were together 57 years. They had three children and ran a General Store together in Rural Southern West Virginia. She was the strongest woman I had ever met.
