About me: I'm as old as dirt with a face like a twisted boot.
I've been married to the same woman since 1982. She was christened 'The Ball and Chain' by her parents so you think that would have given me a clue as to what the future held. It didn't.
I have escaped several times only to be tracked down and captured again. I'm not bitter though. There's many people worse off than me - of course they are all DEAD!
What men don't realise is that when they enter into a marriage, it is actually a declaration of war on the part of the woman. For the first two years the man goes through life in a shell shocked state and wondering why his wife is doing all this crappy stuff to him. Once it finally dawns on him that he is in a war, it's too late. The woman has conquered him.
Don't get me wrong. It's not that I don't like women. My wife's a woman. I just don't understand women.
Here's an example. The Ball and Chain enjoys quilting. So what does she do? She buys a perfectly good piece of material. She then cuts it up into little squares and then sews them back together again. So she ends up back where she started with just one big piece of material. Talk about wasting time and doing crazy stuff.
As for me, I don't do stupid stuff like that. I would rather spend my precious time doing something productive and sensible like having a bet on a horse or greyhound race. I've also been known to bet on goat races but I stopped after the great Coolabah doping scandal erupted.
I can't really say I'm an animal lover. If I can't eat them or bet on them I have very little use for them.
Who I'd like to meet: Lots of people but I don't think they would like to meet me. Like the Vicar who performed the marriage ceremony of myself to the Ball and Chain. I'd like to meet him again one day. I've got a few things to say to him!
