For the past six years the Tradesmen have been the working class warriors of rock 'n' roll. Hailing from the shores of Erie, PA their call has been heard from the artisan's workshop to the city's pubs. T.J. (vocals, mandolin), Hazmatt (guitar, vocals), Jer (guitar, vocals), Darren O (bass), Mike R. (drums), and Danny G. (bagpipes, tin whistle) bring their experiences from being construction trade workers and veteran musicians to their music and style. Their brash vocals set against trash punk chords and rock 'n' roll rhythems are reminisent of bands like the Ramones, Rancid, Cocksparrer, Motorhead, and the Exploited. With the addition of bagpipes a few years back they've adopted the melodies and anthems of traditional celtic drinking songs. The Tradesmen were named Erie's 2008 battle of the bands winner and have since released a full length cd entitled "The Barstool Battle Cry". They were also nominated for a 2008 Rock Erie award for being "Erie's Favorite Punk Band". They have performed along side the likes of the 4 Skins, Submachine, Fang, and Oxymoron over the years. Prior to their work together in the Tradesmen differt members had played in area bands including the Bastard Brigade, Go Go Rays, the Coffin Bangers, and Eternal Conflict. In a time of layoffs and lobbyists the Tradesmen bring their rally call to the working class warfare. And remember....
