About me:

I am Trading Standards! I want to tell you more about your consumer rights and be a bit of a bank of information in case you ever have problems with shopping, credit, holidays, and loads of other stuff consumer like that. There's info on different subjects in my blog.

I also want to hear your stories if you're from Monmouthshire and you've sorted out what could have been a dodgy experience with a business .

    It's really useful for us to get a picture of what's going on in Monmouthshire so we can see if any patterns of problem consumer issues develop over the county.

    Well done Monmouthshire, I know we were a bit rivaly! But you did really well =]
    Just got back! Was an amazing trip, first night we had a pop quiz and met people from the other schools and then the next day it was the quiz. The questions were a giant leap up from the county and welsh final, but we still qualified in the final with the best runner up. We would of done better in our are round if we weren’t against the champions of Scotland... anyway.... We were in the top four of the country, with two schools from Scotland and a grammar school from Kent. We Came fourth in that round, but only just. It was the hardest set of questions I have attempted to answer in my life. We won like £400 Argos vouchers for the sixth form. 50 pound Argos voucher each, a bronze medal and a dvd player. We also had a look round the tsi conference, we had so much free stuff. I think Luke had like 21 pens! We then went for a tour around old Trafford, well boring got back at like 11pm and decided to explore Manchester. There were loads of parties when we got back, every one was letting their hair done after the months of preparation. The consumer quiz broadened are grasp of consumer knowledge, I now know when I am getting ripped off! If you get a chance to do it next year DOOO!!! It was the most amazing experience.

    How did the filming go at your end?

    You'll have to tell me how the article pans out on TV... coz i wont be able to watch haha

    They were on about Chantal and I doing a video diary follow up on our work experience, don't know if they mentioned any of that to you guys?

    National consumer quiz final next wednesday aaaargh! Torfaen and Monmouthsire! Gotta do it for wales! I do also love the round on experian... At least food and drink is an individual round! =] xxx
