Music reading and writing fiction, music, travel, music pooches, music, movies, music, hanging with friends every chance I get, music, shopping (I could do that as a job really) Oh, and did I mention music? It does have powers to soothe the savage beast after all, or at least make you feel better after a really crappy day!
Music
I run the gammit here folks. I love and support unsigned and local musicians, especially The Velcro Pygmies, The Highway, Downstroke and Delicious.
Through the years, though,I was raised on OLD country music, but I'm also a rocker chick to the nth degree. Violent Femmes, The Who, The Doors and Zep. 80's favorites? Def Lep to Poison, and Rick Springfield. 80' into 90's (and still today)? Live and Lifehouse to Red Hot Chili Peppers. 00's? John Mayer, perhaps, and ooooooooooh yeah I gots to have me some Nickelback. Newer artists now as well, that are wheedling their way into my all time top 20... Oh, and my dear friend Rob showed me it's online now... and since Jason is one of those whiskey voices I adore sooooooo much...
Movies
Again, I go with a wide spectrum there. I can watch a rom/com like any other girlie girl and shed a sappy tear or two, but I can also buckle down with a long neck and a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy a good chase scene/buddy cop movie with the guys, and I can even do a few sci-fi flicks. Also, pretty much anything with Benicio, Christian, the other Christian, Gerard, Alex or Orlando,... ha ha... guesses on those last names there folks??? C'mon, I dare ya! A couple are probably pretty obvious... a couple might not be so much but I'm more'n happy to share!
Television
Mostly stuff not on anymore... Moonlight... My syndicated shows that shall play into eternity perhaps Firefly, Charmed, Angel & Buffy. New to the playing field... Leverage... True Blood (are we seeing a vampire theme appearing here?) Also I am a die hard TLC fan, especially What Not to Wear. Oh, and did I mention Indianapolis Colts football every chance I get, and Cowboys if I can't? I want to go to a home game next season sooooooo bad! Colts that is! Go Peyton!
Books
My own, obviously, and pretty much any trashy historical romances I have time for, and I absolutely love Johanna Lindsey, Janet Evanovich, Suzanne Brockmann J.D. Robb and Christine Feehan. I'm even a late convert to the Harry Potter books (helps not having to process them anymore) and I LOVE The Twi's.... Really don't get to read much because I'd much rather spend my time working on my own. I'll get one of those things done one day. I'm even looking for hunky models to pose for my covers. Any takers? Currently I need a dark haired, Civil War ghost, a Scottish laird, a pale blonde vampire, and a half Cherokee cop!
Heroes
My Papaw, god rest his soul, and my absolutely amazing parents, but my Mom especially. They all taught me that anything I want is worth earning for myself, and to be proud of who and what I am, and what makes me different from everyone else. I am no Barbie doll beauty, by any stretch of the imagination, but I can hold my own in other ways, and it's who they made me to be.
My Mom, because she totally rocks. With everything she's ever faced in her life, she fights back, HARD, and still holds her own, and still looks 20-25 years younger than she is...
About me: A little bit of an oddball perhaps? I'm a fun, but loveable clown! I'm about half hippie/gypsy half Medieval princess, with just a little bit of TNT thrown in for good measure. I'm a little bit country, and a whole lot rock & roll. I'm just the little red haired girl, forever in search of my own Charlie Brown, or maybe Stevie Nicks seeking my Lindsey Buckingham. Scary, huh? Oh, also I'm a hopeless romantic who refuses to let that side of my heart die despite the myriad attacks it's take over the years.
Not only do I march to the beat of a different drummer, but I've created my own little dance steps to it along the way. I'm just, well, different really, but not in a bad way or anything. I'm just a bit eccentric you might say. I'm rarely boring, or so I'm told anyway, and I've also been told I should do stand-up.
Who I'd like to meet: WoW! Is the this that whole 'who would you have dinner with, living or dead' thing? Well let me think. I won't go with any famous scientists, dead presidents or inventors. Sorry, I'm pretty deep, but even I'm not quite that deep. If we go with the whole dinner thing...
On a more serious note... I'd like to meet Mr. Right, maybe, though I'm thinking he's quite the elusive creature. If he's out there and I find him, though, he'll be well worth the wait. I don't need rich. I'd be happy enough to be with someone who's a good man. A job is nice too but a good and poetic heart is so much better for me. Jobs come and go, looks fade, but a good companion is more important. Deep enough for ya? Are you sceerred yet?
i was reading your "who i'd like to meet" may i add fiercely intelligent to your list of good man with a poetic heart. i love a man with more brains than me! tho i haven't met but a few. lol! oh and that pic...i did a photo shoot you should go ck out my pics! smooches!
