Biography
What is the Traffic project?
Traffic is a Space Rock (also Atmospheric Rock) band with touches of Hardcore Punk,
formed by Adir Colonna Guitars/Keyboards/Production) and Ofir Manor (Guitars), which is the band's base, along with an ever changing lineup of musicians.
The two went underground after forming the project in February 2006 to compose, write and produce
without making too much sense.
They were performing (on places such as rituals, halls and even on a yacht), and still they kept on low profile to enjoy the experience.
The band produced two clips under the direction of Adir Colonna, when one featured a famous japanese animation (Anime) series - AMV as the Anime fans describe (Anime Music Video).
Somehow they formed a fanbase, which wanted more than the band could or planned to give, and so a first demo was produced with four tracks and was rolled around their hometown (Nahariya) and friends.
Meir Reuveni, a famous producer that works with lots of Israeli artists, got the demo and asked the band for a meeting to play a song on a radio station, and indeed a song.
And then the second Lebanon war came and they had to take a break from the project.
After the war the band produced a song that talks about the post-war feelings, and even had an interview on the Israeli Channel 1.
One of their habits is to play guitars somewhere on the city, a young producer named Asi Eshed came.
Eshed, participated on the Israeli "American Idol" (Kohav Nolad/Born Star) and released two albums (one in English through an American label when he lived in the USA, another one in Hebrew), signed the band to his own label ( published and promoted through Hed Arzi), and a full-length album (named "The Key") is on the way to a release.
Side Projects:
Adir also formed the leading Israeli Symphonic Power Metal band Altharya, under the roles of Guitars/Additional Keyboards/Composer/Procution.
