About Me Musically:
Ive been playing music since I was 7 yrs old starting on the Viola, adding Trumpet and drums and percussion. Ive played in various symphonic bands and orchestras over the years. I understand music theory and can write and arrange music as well.
I have been playing guitar since 1998. I am completely self taught. I am a much better Rhythm player than a lead player, but I am learning lead techniques quickly. I practice regularly with a metronome, practice scales and different finger positioning s as well as different rhythms and picking techniques.
All the music performed on this site was done by me. All drum programming, acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar and piano was solely done by yours truly.
About My Equipment:
I have about 13 different guitars, mainly Jacksons and Ibanez and one Halo PT VII. My 3 Ibanez guitars are 7 strings. I have a Crate Shockwave Full Stack (350 watt solid state head and Celestions in both cabs), DOD guitar effects processor, and various stomp pedals. I have a TASCAM digital 8 track that I use to record at home.
About Me Personally:
I am not your "typical" metal head who smokes pot and drinks all day. I am 34 yrs old (Dont let my age fool you. I dont look or act 34, plus I have played with guys 17 yrs old and end up kicking their ass most of the time). I have a bachelors degree in Psychology, work as a therapist for a local hospital system. Im not married, never have been, I have a wonderful, supportive Girlfriend of 12 years who puts up with my shit. I have no kids; I have 1 cat, and 2 fish. I dont use drugs at all, not even pot. I never have, never will. I dont smoke; I drink occasionally but Im not a raging alcoholic. I have 5 tattoos and 10 piercing s
About My Metal:
First and foremost, my passion is for Death Metal. Next to Death Metal I really enjoy Goth Metal and Black Metal. Of course I enjoy just about any metal, Thrash, Grind, Power, Industrial, Prog, and Doom, with the exception of hardcore sorry I just cant handle the breakdowns and the karate kicks n shit. As far as metal goes, the first cassette I ever bought was Judas Priest- Screaming for Vengeance when I was 8 yrs old. Currently I have over 1700 cds with bands ranging from Poison and Tuff to Marduk and Devourment and just about everything in between.
About What Im looking for:
I am currently in a Death Metal band which is yet to be named. We are trying to fill out the rest of the line up, and once that is done, a seperate myspace site will be made with songs, pics etc.
So thats basically me in a nut shell.
