the list is endless as theres five of us, so we all have different influences and mush them together somehow!
Sounds Like
boysetsfire style punk mixed with the hooks of hotwatermusic and the technicality of at the drive in facing the melody of open hand and the time and rhythm changes of fugazi!hopefully something half as good as those bands!
Up to date gig information and random chat courtesy of Trailing Cable!
Trailing Cable originated 4 years ago. The original five members met at the great CRC and the instant bond of an appreciation of local DIY/Hardcore Punk, an understanding of different musical outlooks and styles, and Family Guy humour reigned supreme. The music they created together had timeless punk energy and groove and song topics included a distaste for preying social groups, human nature, social commentary and a firm and unabashed questioning of local and national government's tactics and motives.
They started gigging about 6 months after they got together and from then on hardly a month went by without a show. They've supported some brilliant bands and people, including DIVE DIVE, Cars as Weapons, Boom in the Diamond Industry, more recently the Tupolev Ghost , Copper Pilot, Lonely and the Brave, the Mono Effect...plus a whole host of great local and national bands.
Following a year of ups and downs, members coming, members going, and most painfully, a lack of gigging, they've passed through this transition and are back to playing and writing new stuff
Recently our replacement guitarist Mark who has been with us for almost a year decided to leave, but he timed it so that our original guitarist Rich could come back
Now with this lineup, the band is ready for whatever is thrown at us! The songs and live shows are gonna be better than ever
So keep a look out, its gonna be awesome
We do try and answer all questions and greetings, but its difficult to keep up as we're doing so much promotion at the moment! Thanks for all your support.

I’m just sending a little message around as we have a question and we want to ask our friends for input.
We cannot decide whether to release the Album in late May or June. We plan to tour from mid May and the argument is that if we release in June we can tie the release into the fan build from the tour, but it might get squashed with all the Summer and festival releases, however, if we release in May it might have less competition but we won’t have the tour working yet to promote it.
What do you think? I’d love to hear your opinion on this.

hey, you are getting this message cos you are a friend of my project, The Grand Twelve. Well, recently that project has evolved into a brand new band, Gettin' Dead Sunset. This will aways be the home of my solo music, but please add my band too! we are a 3 peice rock band from essex, and we will be gigging in the next few months. would be amazing if you could stop by and leave a comment, and dont forget, new music for the grand twelve will be uploaded soon.
It’s been far too long since I last said hello and so much has happened I thought it about time we said did.
We’ve changed a lot, now we are an “UltraModern, post-electro rock, post-nu rave behemoth where Muse and Mansun meet a Massive Attack with Duran Duran pop sensibilities, louder guitars, and a stunning female front person/guitar virtuoso”, or so we have been told.
I’d love to know what you’ve been up to since we disappeared into the dark damp studio cave, let us know how it’s going, I’m always up for a chat! Be good, and if you can’t be good, be lucky ;-) Dawn xx Scarlet/blonde
