About me: The Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC) was founded in 1987 by a group of concerned citizens to help the City of Colorado Springs implement its trails master plan. Over the years, as the demands of the Pikes Peak region have changed, so to has the goals and mission of the Trails and Open Space Coalition. Currently, we work to preserve rural land and to create a network of trails, bikeways and greenways in the Pikes Peak region. We do this through advocacy, education, project funding and volunteer projects.
The open space efforts of the Trails and Open Space Coalition help preserve wildlife and their habitat, agricultural land, scenic vistas, geological formations and important cultural and historical features. At the same time, conservation efforts provide significantly increased opportunities for hiking, biking, running and winter sports, all of which can improve health while providing endless opportunities to enjoy the natural environment. Trails efforts also provide new outlets for recreation and commuting. Please visit us at http://www.trailsandopenspaces.org
Who I'd like to meet: Hikers, bicyclists, runners, equestrians, nature lovers, conservationists, rock climbers, philanthropists and anyone concerned with protecting our trails and open spaces.
We are NOT TOPS. We receive no public or tax funding but are entirely supported by members, foundations, businesses and private tributions. Donate now! https://www.blacktie-colorado.com/online_sales/nonprofit_donation.cfm?id=1329
