My name is Shannon and I am currently training in mixed martial arts in Cecil county Maryland. I've been practicing Isshinryu karate under the Order of Isshinryu for about 8 years and was promoted to Shodan (1st degree Black belt) in November of '06. I've Been training full contact MMA for about 3 years now, and am a proud member of the Rising Sun fight team. I had my first MMA match in May for Combat in the Cage (VA) and won via knockout. Who knows where it will take me but I love every part of the training, its what keeps my heart pumping... Besides my family and friends, my instructors are the most important people in my life. They are my backbone and motivators and possess an amazing amount of talent and knowledge that keeps me hungry to learn...
