- Kimberly, 11/12/09 (Facebook)
Trance hugs 'n kisses to everyone who came and played with us at
TRANCE CARNIVALE BY THE HUDSON!!
Thanks for the blast!!
break out your lollipops and glow sticks...
New York is finally getting a progressive trance scene, and along with it a sexy and innovative approach to clubbing that will break social barriers and create that positive trance vibe EDM has been missing in nyc. How? With a wild elixir of ice-breaking games at our club nights, our FB MS Twitter & Going websites where people can meet on and off the dancefloor, extra-clubicular activities and other surprises . . . we did say 'innovative' right?
Join the Trance Mansion Revolution
what's your club life missing?
The irony of our nightlife is that the very places we go to meet each
other--clubs, lounges, bars--are the last places we can.
People want to meet up and party, but trap themselves in a comfort zone
of friends, attitude and inhibitions--walls that separate perfectly awesome
people from getting to know each other.
Trance Mansion is not only NYC's singular resident progressive trance party,
but an innovative approach to breaking through these barriers. How?
*By using fun and engaging methods that have already proven successful at
getting people together: like ice-breaking games and contests, our very own
(armed and dangerous) cupid, and an interactive Trance Theatre;
*Creating a vibrant community of friends outside of clubbing through events
like DJ and twirling lessons, parties in Central Park, pilgrimages to concerts
and music festivals, and a social networking website;
*Thinking outside the box with special projects like a Global Skype Party, a
Fashion Week show, a ms. trance pageant, and a summer party on our private
beach that'll be off the hook.
And what better way to create a friendly and positive vibe than with the sexy,
sublime, uplifting melodies of progressive trance?
trance revolution
Fans who have clubbed in cities like Ibiza know how open and friendly a trance
event should be.
Call it a holdover from trance's raver ethos of love 'n lollipops, the
uplifting and life-affirming sensibility of the music, or the manic dreamers and futurists it attracts. Whatever its source, the euphoric trance scene seems the natural
starting point for this great experiment in clubbing.
So be a pioneer by partying your ass off to Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, PVD, Corsten ... and
nothing but the best euphoric and vocal trance, including the latest from
Ibiza, Amsterdam and elsewhere here and across the pond.
All you have to do is come prepared with an open mind, an open heart, and a
commitment to partying with some of the coolest people you'll ever meet.
- Thomas Deans
pioneering euphoric trance in new york
One of the world's greatest cities has been missing a genre from its
musical repertoire that in Europe and elsewhere fills stadiums with millions
of fans globally: euphoric trance aka uplifting, progressive, vocal, euro,
epic, anthem, dance, happy or melodic trance
New York's electronic music scene can be described as budding at best.
Pioneers like 2008's Minitek festival are starting to change that, and you can
even find regular venues for psytrance, electronica, techno and breaks...but
still no regular euphoric trance event in nyc.
Relief periodically arrives when our fav djs come to town with Made Event
or another production co. But these events are few and far between, not to
mention pricey.
In the meantime, euphoric trance fans have had to supplement their diet
with the housey 'n hard stuff at Pacha, Cielo and the like. Until now . . .
Trance Mansion is New York's only euphoric trance party, with our debut
monthly event planned for the Summer of '09. And we'll be spinning nothing but
the best euphoric and vocal trance including the latest from Ibiza, Amsterdam
and elsewhere here and across the pond.
As always, we'll be thinking outside the box throughout this whole
experiment.
Since it's all about the music, we'll be violating a major dj tenet by
posting a playlist that'll closely follow our lineup (with some room for
surprises of course ;) This way you can listen to our entire program online.
You'll not only know what you'll be shaking your ass to at the party, but
you'll be able to shake your ass to these amazing beats on your own time while
getting ready for work, washing behind your ears, or practicing your fire
twirling.
Speaking of which, plenty of surprises are in the works, including beauty
pageants, dance contests, wild theme nights, 'girls and boys of trance'
calendars, a trance fashion show during Fashion Week, and yes, twirling
contests.
meet other trancers, build
our scene
We're not just promoting a club event. We're trying to build a community
of people who love this genre of music and who share its positive mindset.
Like many of you, we live, breath, love and dance to this ecstatic and
sublime music, and its ethos speaks to our hearts and minds.
And we know there's a small army of you out there who've been wandering a
desert too, and who aren't just thirsty for great trance, but looking for a
home too. So we'll be using our website as a way to get euphoric trance fans
in New York and beyond to get to know each other, meet at events, and build a
scene.
Depending on how big this all gets, pilgrimages to music festivals in
Miami, Amsterdam, Ibiza and full moon parties in Thailand are also on the
itinerary.
Importantly, we'll be building a social networking website to give trance
fans in the area and around the world an opportunity to meet both in
cyberspace and in the so-called real world :p
welcoming collaborators and
co-conspirators
Getting feedback and ideas from you about how we should be developing this idea is vital. This is a home grown, grass-roots
effort by people who simply love the music, so we're also looking for
dedicated volunteers and professionals who want to be part of growing this
community in nyc and beyond.
If you want to be at the cutting edge of this exciting (dare we say historic?) movement, let us know how you think
you can help--creative design and web development, marketing and
promoting, spinning tunes and twirling objects, financing and investing, acting and dancing, or a hundred other ways. We'll be
hosting a regular skype conference as a way all our volunteers can meet and coordinate efforts.
So … what are ya waitin for?
as it does in proper party nations of the world"

If you know the history of PvD, He was born in east Germany, and is one of the originals after the Berlin Wall was torn down!! Trance is a direct part of the unity associated with a divided Germany and is the result of the end of the Cold War!! Former president Ronald Reagan would be pleased with what we are doing!! Keep up the great work!!
Peace, Larretronix...
