Because heroes are just people put on pedestal's and worshiped as idols. Thus, if I engage in such hero worship, I merely engaging in idolatry, and cannot see them for being uniquely human, thus I uniquely hold them to a form of perfectionism, that they themselves cannot hold up two under scrutiny. Therefore, by refusing to hold them to ideals of perfectionism. Therefore, I can no longer be disappointed in them when I find fault, or of in congruence with their ideals or philosophy with my own. Though there are human beings, who's residual legacy, from whom I draw inspiration from, I in no way a hold them up as Gods.
