What we see all around us has it's own story, it's own struggles, and it's own existence.
Transexistence draws it's influences from the pure emotion that forms in one's soul when each of these stories is experienced.
Created in 2008 by a single man by the name of Kevan Pledger, Transexistence is a musical project that combines the powerhouse bass and bounce of Electro-Industrial with the fluctuating and often exotic sounds of Ambient/New Age and Synthpop. The end result is greater than many had anticipated when the first release was concieved.
The First album, 'Terra' was finished in October 2008 and fused together melodic sounds together with contemporary techno beats and bass styles. The driving foce behind the sound was a mix of Synthpop/Futurepop/IDM and New Age music as well as a collection of personal experiences. The album was never officially released due to personal disatisfaction and has been awaiting an official release ever since.
The Second album 'Old World Order' Featured a much more hefty set of variety and featured many more vocals on the original cuts of the songs than on 'Terra'. Officially finished on March 23rd, 2009, 'Old World Order', featured driving influences from various sources including Synthpop, New Age, Industrial, Ambient, and Indie. This album was never officially released either for similar reasons as 'Terra' and is still awaiting an official release.
The Third album was originally called 'Follow The Leader' and production began on April of 2009, but since then production has slowed down in an effort to improve the quality of the music and to create something that sounds much more original and unique.
Awaiting titling, the new album is set to release Fall of 2009 with two preceeding EP's 'Astra' and 'Meta' to be coming out sometime in either June or July 2009 and will feature a unique blend of Hard Industrial, Soothing New Age and Ambient, and Bouncing Electro-pop as well as many classical pieces.
The Name
Transexistence, is, contrary to popular belief stemming from my evil project 'Capn Stewmeiser' no doubt, not about hiding the word Sex.
Transexistence is a combination of the words 'Transcend' and 'Existence'. When I was naming the project I wanted to create something much more profound than just a simple saying or a qwerky name. Consequently, Transexistence. The Goal? To Transcend Existence.
Symbolism
Many have asked before what the symbol of Transexistence stands for, so here is the breakdown on the symbol.
The 'V' represents a slice of life upon which you call home, or reality. The Line dividing it stands for two sides. Usually these sides are formally introduced as physical and metaphysical, but it can stand for anything.
The Horizontal half line that forms the 'E' in the 'V' stand for a separation, a gray area that people have denied the existence of, hence the reason it is not on the other side of the line. It represents the presence of Gray in the choice between 'Black and White', the impurity that makes us human, that makes us who we are.
The nine lines on top branching out from the singular stem line in the middle represent a path and a choice. Like a split in the path. The path looms above us at all times despite faith, honor, power, wealth, trust, age, or health. Each line also represents duality and the ability to therefore change, no matter how broken you believe you are.
