Quite surprised to read in Simon Furman's online blog that the UK comic will be staying within this alternate reality for the time being. With the two American strips ending next issue (or are they? We only got 5 pages apiece this month!) will we be treated to the ongoing storyline we are certainly enjoying right now, as well as maybe some new originated material WITHIN the film's continuity? Please, please, please... after all, this is a comic book based on the movie, and those stories (deepening the characters and situaions from the film) are what the fans are crying out for surely...?

I am loving Twilight, don't get me wrong, and will be keen to see where Simon takes it into the book's second year :D

yo. any chance of the UK comic being released here in the states? because that would kind of rock.

Just realised the designs have changed from part one of the story to part two? What was the reason for this? I was pretty happy seeing Deluxe Arcee (one of my all time favorite TF toys) make an appearance and now it's been replaced by the Energon version (which I had briefly but sold ages ago as I just wasn't that impressed with it). Could have at least waited til the end of the story before changing all the designs.
Story is still cool, but darn couldn't Arcee have just been left alone at least?

Just picked up issue 10 today. Great stuff as usual, but please, please no more Transformers Animated. The show is terrible, even my niece hates it and she just recently got into TF's (at the age of 6) and owns her own bunch of TF movie and G1 toys. I know this magazine's meant to be primarily for kids but if it's at all possible to do a seperate TFA magazine so I don't have to buy it, that would be much appreciated

This movie story is really cool though it looks a bit odd seeing the detailed faces of the movie stuff against the cartoony faces of the cybertron/energon repaint characters.

This alternate timeline storyline seems great so far. Good art too.

Hi guys, just received my new issue yesterday and did my usual and devoted some "me"-time and some suitably unhealthy snacks to your splendid comic on my day off today.

Your new British strip is really intriguing I have to say! Can't wait to see how it pans out... even if it means having to wait until June for its climax!! Argh lol!! But definitely top-notch so far.

Also, even though I've never read/seen anything to do with Beast Wars before you started your run, I am loving it... and that last page: WOW!

Nice to see credits for the cover artists, even if it looks like a copy of a movie photo it is still a striking cover and next issue's looks like it could be the best yet.

Only down point is the lack of any decent merchandise and a competition to win last month's free gifts. Could this be reduced to one page so more new features could come along in the coming months? And with the latest "How to draw..." being about drawing a full page can we assume this is the last one and that its four pages will see something new next month? Your imagination for features so far has been great and I look forward to seeing how the comic evolves over the coming months... and hopefully years. ;) :D

Any word on that reader survey you mentioned a few months back?

    Bring on issue ten!! :D

    Thanks for the add.

Just wanted to note that so far all the art work in the mag have been superb ive got every issue so far and i haven't opened one of the free gifts yet never know when they might be worth something lol

I have to say that I was a little worried by issue seven's Starscream story, wasn't up to the usual standards, especially the artwork... but issue eight - WOW!!!

Staz, your artwork is supreme!! The story, art, colours, all perfect!! I have to agree though, it ended very suddenly, just as I was getting into it... shoulda been a two-parter, or maybe that's just because I can't get enough of this new comic ;)

Loving every issue so far, it really is top quality stuff, far beyond anything else out there! I'm even stopping myself from buying the graphic novels of Beast Wars and the prequel because I'm enjoying reading them this way so much and don't want them spoiled :) Keep up the good work (but please, no more "how to draw"'s!)

PS Who drew the awesome cover?
  • Jan 30 2008 10:33 AM

The art in #8 is some of the best I've seen in the comic so far. Staz's artwork is really dynamic and there's a nice mix of angles and perspectives. Kris Carter's colouring is a refreshing change: rather than the crisp block colours that are often seen in comics, there's nice use of gradient and shading and a slightly washed-out, watercolour look that suits the sketchy, unfinished style of Staz's lines. It puts me in mind somewhat of early Marvel stories like Man of Iron. It's an enjoyable read, too, though finishes a bit suddenly.

hi guys, just droppin a line to congratulate u on the magazine, i've enjoyed every single article in each issue & am especially pleased that the legend that is STARSCREAM is doing the letters page! i'd just like to know tho, as fan from the G1 era, will we be seeing any G1 related articles in the near future????
p.s. soundwave needs to reappear cuz he is a legend!!!!

Finally picked up my copy of Issue 7 today (have to travel into city centre cos my local tescos express don't seem to sell it), and again it's great stuff. Best of all is that superb Senior zombiecon poster!

Hey, thanks for the Transformers Scalextric set I think I won from one of your in-mag competitions! Just arrived today in a big box that had me and the mailman puzzled as to what it was. Seemed to give me a girls name on the box though the surname and address were correct, so I'm hoping it was meant for me :) Never owned me a Scalextric before so am very happy. Thanks again! :D
