Unconventional blues-rock-pop-etc. with essentially Christian lyrics and message. Underlying Transient Camp's music is the desire to point towards the grace of God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and encourage and build up those who are already in the family of believers. Music is a gift from God and, when done right, it can be a powerful tool for getting a point across. Transient Camp's two founding members, Chris Miuccio and Drew Jessel, began performing rock, pop and blues originals via live shows in Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley under the band names "Xanax" and "Witness" with a variety of musicians. In 1992, under the name "Transient Camp" (inspired by John Steinbecks "The Grapes of Wrath") they recorded their first CD, "Unchained From Mankind", featuring songs of a personal nature with references to their Christian faith. Selections from the CD aired on KLOS (Los Angeles) local music show. Soon thereafter, they began writing lyrics that reflected more than just a cursory nod to their Christian faith. "Praise My Lord" (a 4-song EP) featured bold and blatant Christian proclamations and was well received by the various Christian youth groups before whom they were now performing. 1995 saw the completion of "Its A Wonderful Life?", an ambitious concept album which documents one man's search for meaning in a world devoid of substance and hope. The song cycle tackles difficult subjects including politics, media, infatuation, abortion (sung from the unique perspective of the unborn baby), televangelism, soul searching, the Bible and Jesus Christ. The band went on a temporary hiatus while marriage and fatherhood took priority over songwriting & performing. Only a few sporadic live shows were done during this time. In 1999, many of their songs were posted at MP3.com, where they received encouraging comments from around the world (even as far away as Latvia). "Always Everywhere" reached the top 10, and three other tunes made the top 40 chart at MP3.com. These uplifting responses caused a creative spark, and writing and recording of new material resumed. Their latest release, "HOPE!" (2004 - featuring drummer Warren [Wood] Vitale and percussionist Walker Craig) features 12 original compositions. The lyrics alone are guaranteed to inspire "hope" for the most burned out believer... all the way up to the most "Type A" Pastor! The band's "hope" is that the new CD will be used by the Lord to encourage, inspire & remind Christians who He is and how much He loves us. Their hope is also that Christians will share it with their non-believing friends and family as a tool for sharing the Lord with them.

TODAYS WORLD

There are so many religions, beliefs, faith's, even cults scattered around the globe making it difficult to believe a single one or even commit to one without having doubts. There will always be a lot of conflicting views and messages about God, as well as self-righteous people who will tempt to turn you away from finding the truth for yourself.
George Washington - "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible."
Abraham Lincoln - "I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this book."
Our founding fathers of the United States of America based this country on foundations of the Holy Bible. So why is it all changing? Why are we taking God out of Schools, Courts and Television? Why is Jesus Christ's name used in vain on TV and movies yet they blurb out all other profanity? Is taking the Lords name in vain acceptable to this world now? Why aren't any other faiths "gods" used like this? I don't hear people curse Allah, or Buddha.
politics and religion
Politics have a large role in playing God with religious freedom. If you look at nations to the East and others among the world you'll see a large threat for believing in Christ: Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Chechnya (Russia), Chiapas (Mexico), China and Tibet, Colombia, Comoro Islands, Cuba, Cyprus, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Laos, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen. What do these all have in common? They are all Restricted Nations where Christians are kept from acquiring or obtaining Bibles and Christian literature by government policy. The local governmen
