Transientworld combines the electronic with the organic. This electronica duo has been in existance for 4 years. Mark Lazeski AKA: Subkarma & Mary Ancheta AKA: Anteater make up this recording duo known as Transientworld. Based out of Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA. Transientworld creates Electronica at its' best ranging from high energy Breakbeats to Industrial to Techno to Downtempo Chillout tracks.
Transientworld produce, arrange, and engineer all tracks at their own studio called Transientworld Audio. Often times featuring guest musicians they perform the following duties on their tracks: drum/bass programming, keyboards, bass guitar, electric/acoustic guitar, vocals, and sound treatments.
Winners of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2 years in a row for 2003 and 2002 with their award winning tracks "Awake" and "Forever in the Sun" in the Electronica Category. This prestigious contest had over 250, 000 entries and with judges including Bjork, Wyclef Jean, and Meshell to name a few.
Their songs have been featured in TV, Film and commercial placements such as Showtimes' The L Word alongside of Portishead, Leonard Cohen, Lucinda Williams, Damien Rice and Joseph Arthur. Other TV credits include Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, America's Next Top Model, Godiva's, Michael Jackson VH1 Biography, The Dead Zone, Dark Oracle, ESPN Offshore Adventures, and Cold Squad. Film credits include Winner of the Golden Zenith Award - Film 'Everyone', and commercials include Part I and Part II of a Sony Memory Stick Commercial.
