:: ErMan_ Electronic musician and experimenter. Deep expert of music and b-movies, dj preparation, cyber-technologist and cultural activist since the 80ies. His principal interest is the relationship between Music and Technology. His work as sound designer is at the base of projects where vintage, modern electronics and sound engineering became the ideal match to experiment new sounds both in pop field as in experimentation field. The project Transistors is the better example of the mix of these musical experiences. He is the founder member of The Transistors as composer, arranger and he plays keyboards, electronics and theremins. As journalist he had the honor to interview Bob Moog, Dick Hyman, Kraftwerk and other icons of experimenters in music art field.
:: Luke_ Basically a musician, Luke alternates his music profession with other professions as journalist in cinema and music fields, photographer and actor. As musician he composed about ten OST for cinema, spot and television fictions. Since 1999 he is a member of The Transistors as composer, arranger and he plays keyboards and percussions. As photographer his artworks is an original blending of pop-art and fetish-art. As journalist he is also among the organizers of "Rosso Italiano", a movie festival (based in Rome) dedicated to the italian horror movie productions of the years 70-80ies.
:: Miss Ari_ Starting with the love of italian singer icons as Mina, Miss Ari built her background playing in differents projects in music clubs in Rome. Pop and Jazz with a unique mixture of exotic charm are her trademark. Today she is working for a satellite cartoon program singing and lending her voice for cartoons characters. With The Transistors, Miss Ari is our fascinating singer who gives the voice to the dreamy atmospheres of the Transistors music.

:: The Project_
It's always necessary to play "inside a movement" against "stereotypes"
as Guy Debord, the Situationist father, was saying : << the world has
already been filmed. It's time to transform it >>.
The Transistors were/are one of the recurrent elements that hide behind the
technical inventions, the art-déco, the aesthetics of the objects
of memorabilia. For us, Transistors is the innovating and polyvalent "trait"
behind a project idea. So, Transistors means music and technology applied
to the Art world.
Since 1995/1996, the project started from an idea of Maurizio "ErMan" Mansueti.
Subsequently Luca "Luke" Cirillo and Miss Ari will become part of the ensamble.
In 1996, the project started with a demo-tape "Swinging Italy". It contained
"Viva Esquivel!" (a track dedicated to "El Maestro" Esquivel) and "You never
told me" (cover of Piero Piccioni "Fumo di Londra" OST). Combustible Edison,
Br. Cleve, Byron Werner and other fan of Esquivel liked our project. During
1998, we decided to add new tracks and to "re-edit" some tracks from the
original tape and Byron Werner (who coined the term Space Age Bachelor Pad
Music) wrote the liner notes for us. So today this work is for collectors
of space age bachelor pad music (S.A.B.P.M.)! After that time, The Transistors
were defined by Cool & Strange Music Magazine as the Italian answer
to Combustible Edison for the same attitude to cocktail/lounge, cinematic
attitude and research.
With Right Tempo/Temposphere label, as a solid and credible follow
up to the success earned by their first two single releases 'Mission On
Venus', The Transistors deliver their debut album "Atelier": a new wave
in urban pop music. The Spyderotic Sound. The CD "Atelier" is a
swinging, intriguing and fascinating collection of tracks destined to
establish The Transistors as the true leader band of the internationally
acclaimed Spyderotic Sound. Sophisticated melodies, intuitive arrangements,
irresistible rhythm patterns and technology, along with Miss Ari's addictive
vocals meet the great influences left by the greatest soundtracks masters.
Beware, this is not a silly and superficial revival album of the 60's
and the 70's; to the contrary "Atelier" is an album projected
for future with ingredients from the past and the attitude of today. Spyderotic
Sound that's what it is. The New sound of a generation of cats searching
new directions in music. The New sound rich of suggestions, melodies and
rhythm entering the real space age.
In 2008, with Funky Juice record label, the Transistors recorded the new album Modern Landscape. A new wave following the roots of space age, with a new
charming sound. A research in the electronic sound art blending the cinematica
and exotica forms with a new electronic touch, where moog sound meets the
aesthetics and the geography of bodies, hearts and architectural designs.

Third release for the label which has been revolutionizing the Italian electronic and underground dance scene: after the winter floorfiller “No Rulez Ep” signed by Skyboy and Edo Pietrogrande (just to name a few Dubfire, Loco Dice, 2000 and One, Sis, Raresh…have literally gone mad for Without by Skyboy), 7 oz Records is coming out with a killer summer dancefloor hit: “Donde estas y donde vas”, produced by Edo Pietrogrande, friend and veteran of the label.
The original version is oriented towards a retro style, with horns à la Marshall Jefferson, a dry and hypnotic voice, howlings like Souljazz Records and lots of groove in a jacking house style which at times brings back tech-house sounds so ever-popular in the late 90’s. The remix, expertly produced by David Keno (Keno Records, Kindisch) is, and will be, the soundtrack to many after parties, clear and fresh.. it brings forth images of smiles. “L’amour” is the romantic side of the ep, you won’t find it hard to recognize the voice, in the deep and languid version where Edo has successfully evoked a latin atmosphere, hot and sensual
The United Nations has designated today (June 8) as World Oceans Day. And countries around the world are following suit by holding events to acknowledge the importance of the world's oceans.
To honor the ocean, I've made a commitment to give up plastic bags. Plastic bags not only kill our animals, like whales, dolphins, seals, sea turtles, sea birds that consume them or are trapped in them, it also kills fish and animals in our food chain.
Can you make a commitment to do something to honor this day, no matter how small? The health of our planet depends on it!
