Transistor formed in September of 2007 when Perry Brown and Tyler Woodham met each
other while playing music for a college worship service in Troy, Alabama.They soon began
writing songs together and released a demo in the spring of 2008. A few months later Tyler
introduced Perry to his friend, Sam Reynolds, who had played bass with Tyler in a previous
band. Sam began playing bass with Transistor and was an excellent fit for Transistor's
style of music. Aaron Johnson also joined Transistor on percussion. Aaron is an excellent
percussionist, and had formerly played music with Perry and Tyler in a worship
band in Troy. Transistor's music is transparent, honest, and real. The songs are written
about real life for the sole purpose of meeting listeners exactly where they are and in
whatever situation they are going through. Transistor wants everyone to see God's glory
and His forgiveness through their lives and music, and they want people to know
that there is hope for everyone.
