Bio
If the Beatles and Whitestripes had an affair with Grace Slick; their illegitimate child would be Trash Angels - an Americana Rock band with melodic undertones that rival Oasis while reviving Son House. With deep roots in blues spanning to rock and rockabilly, this 5 piece group is a versatile example of truly live entertainment. Trash Angels has shared billing with such acts as Michael Burks, Anthony Gomes, Reba Russell, Omar Dykes and the Howlers, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Aunt Kizzy'z Boyz, and Moreland and Arbuckle. They have been featured on several Blues Radio shows, both traditional and internet, from Missouri to New York. In March of 2009 Trash Angels were the featured band in "Workin' Bands", a monthly article in Guitar Edge magazine. The article "Workin' Bands" is appropriate for Trash Angels as they average over 200 shows per year, making them no stranger to the stage. Their first full CD, "What the Devil Knows", was released in February of 2010. Chris DeRosier states in his review, "From the start the album exudes a vibe broadcast from under a streetlamp, loose-ruled and rough-hewn, a postcard from the edge of the blues in music and mindset." A second, more contemporary rock centered album is set to be released in early 2011, entitled "Copious Sunshine". With enough original music to fill a third album, Trash Angels is set to be a lasting force in music. Each member of Trash Angels brings their own background and talent to the group to create the unique sound and show that is Trash Angels. Donnie Ray, taking after his musician parents, has spent his whole life on stage from the age of 10. His experience is evident as he strums and picks his way over the length of the guitar. Developing his own sound, Donnie Ray is one musician you will not soon forget. Through their performances, you will see Tiffany Rene' with him jumping from table to table or bar to bar. No small feat in stilettos! Learning to sing in church, her booming voice will remind you that big things come in small packages, and Tiffany Rene' has no fear of using her voice to either bring you to your knees or have you dancing on your feet. On bass, Eric Guinn makes his presence known by entertaining audiences whether it be with his playing or his stage antics. Also playing for the majority of his life, Eric Guinn may be seen in a back bend, kicking, or jumping around the stage. Taci Rooker, the deceptively quiet one, is able to school almost anyone on the keys. Moving effortlessly up and down the keyboard, Taci's abilities must be seen to be believed. Rounding out the band on percussion, Dave Ellis is able to play anything on stage, but choses to reign on the drums. A graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music, Dave brings his talent back to the midwest in Trash Angels. From a start in Missouri, Trash Angels has now gained notoriety nationally in magazine articles and radio play. Soon to be a new favorite to many, Trash Angels is truly live entertainment.
