Led by Singer, Songwriter Clark Machtemes, the many faces of Traveled Ground will take you on a journey across the American Continent with Blues, Folk, Rockabilly, Cajun, Rock and keep your feet grounded in Roots Music. Known for tight vocal harmonies, top notch muscianship and live shows this band is rock solid. It has always been about the music. After 19 years, 3 CD's, countless shows, Fairs, Festivals, Radio play and Interviews, this band still keeps their feet on the ground. Critics love their live shows and they have no problem keeping busy. Clarks' songs have recently sent him to New York City for a Writers Showcase and their Music has earned Radio Play, Radio Interviews and Commercial Spots with Local and National Stations. Playing along side the likes of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Crystal Gale, Juice Newton, Michael Martin Murphy have added to their profile. From Folk, Blues, Rockabilly to Americana, Traveled Grounds music crosses the spectrum of the Roots Music scene and takes you on a journey across the North American continent. For over 20 years this group has kept a busy schedule playing Local, Regional and National stages. Led by multi instrumentalist, singer songwriter Clark Machtemes they have had their share of success. Their brand of story driven songs, sense of song craft and arsenal of insruments have led to national radio play, commercial jingles and songwriter showcases across the country. Festivals, fairs, clubs small and large are all apart of their profile. The truth about them has always been in the words and music they present. Keeping it fresh and presenting their music in an acoustic presentation or in a full powered band has drawn people for years.
