Travis is a Composer/ Performer currently hailing from Boston. MA, where he is pursuing a Masters degree in Composition at the New England Conservatory. He writes original compositions and improvisation pieces. He also plays the trumpet (mostly he makes noise). Travis thanks you for your time, and hopes that, while reading, you have enjoyed at least a half of one of his compositions, perhaps even wanting to remain for the second half. You could even read this again and proof for errors to help pass the time. Or check your email in a new window. Or google something. Or ponder, and perhaps lament, the fact that the word "google" is now part of our vocabulary (so is "dotcom").
Wow, man, congrats! I just checked out Brandeis' website and forgot that David Rakowski taught there. He was here for the New Music Festival this year, and I really liked him and his music. I'm sure that studying with him will be an awesome experience.
Thanks for the kind words! And I really enjoy your "Reflections of Grace". It's also cool to have stumbled on to your profile. I saw your name and thought, "don't I know that guy?"
Aren't you graduating from NEC this semester? What are your plans?
Wow, Brandeis, that's great news!! Congrats! If you get a chance to study with Yu-Hui Chang, I recommend it. She's wonderful. I'm really sad I won't be seeing you at NU, but really glad your great music is recognized by Brandeis. And, hey, you won't have to move!
Hey! How is it going? Thank you so much for the cangrats. I hope all is well your way. I would love to have a trumpet player so you are definitely at the man I'll ask. Ha! How is school going? How's life? Let me know!
it's good to hear that things are going well for you. i'm doing well and ready for a little cooler weather, since it's supposed to be around 100 this week. i will definately not be envious of you come winter though.
So I was thumbing through a 100 year aniversary coffee table book about ECU today and I see a picture of you playing the trumpet. You're part of ECU history forever.
My pets love Latte Latte - I think it's the high pitches of the flutes. :) I like Reflections of Grace the most I think. I like all of them....but I think the piano in that one is what gets me...it's so pretty. I hope you guys are doing well! Take care, and hope to hear from you soon!
