There's not so much that I could describe here that wouldn't be better off just trying to piece together what I've written in the blog entries. Besides, this prompts you to read more, which in turn increases my hit count, which financially means... well, absolutely nothing I suppose. Which indicates a profound lack of thinking things through.
During the day, (and let's not kid ourselves, late into the night as well) I work for a game and technology company... which in reality means that during the majority of the day I attempt to pick up the pieces and get them in some kind of order. When I'm not paying attention someone (likely someone nearby) scatters the pieces again. To this end, I hired a former Army veteran of Iraq to help discover these people and eliminate them. To date however, all he has managed to accomplish is losing to my designer in frequent games of Soul Calibur. I am surrounded by good people, and a few lousy people, which I suppose sums up any place of employment.
In between all of those adventures, I attempt to do creative things. This usually amounts to writing here, staring mindlessly at the wall waiting for inspiration to strike me, or pining away for the latest technological gadget that I don't actually need. But, that smell of light electricity and warm plastic is too much of a temptation to miss. I'm also a very fast reader and (I sadly admit) quite of an obsessive compulsive combined with a fairly strong dose of being stubborn. This means I read everything and I need to be careful of what I begin, because quitting isn't an option. Anyone who thinks I've described good traits has likely been mislead somewhere along the line.
But overall, I've been ultimately quite fortunate to find myself in a position where I am by and large surrounded by very clever, decent people. This is a nice shift from a long stint in my life when I was surrounded by fairly stupid, self-absorbed people who lacked the good common sense to understand valor from vain. Or, as Peter would say, shallow and pedantic. This shift has briefly renewed my otherwise dark view of a society worth putting up with, so I'm quite appreciative.
Otherwise, I'm always interested in different type of shirts that break up the blue/kahki schema, attempting to unravel the mysteries of clicking clocks, scolding those who can't properly aim into the urinal and the occasional poorly timed humor.
