I play music, sing songs, act in stuff, make films, pretty much anything to avoid having to do hard labor for a living.
I grew up in San Francisco and went to college at Humboldt State on the far Northern California coast. Always been in bands of one sort or another. My third band, Cal Hollow, was signed to Jericho/Sire Records and did very well for a few years until the label went under. While there, we recorded an album in LA with John Porter as producer. He's the guy behind most of the Smiths albums, the Alarm, and later on Keb Mo', Bonnie Raitt and several other great blues artists.
I moved to Las Vegas, then Nashville, and landed in Chicago, where I joined up with the Katie Todd Band playing guitar and started the solo career in earnest. Now it's on to Portland, Oregon to continue making records and help get the most kickinest country band in the West, The Concrete Cowboys, on the map...
I also play soccer. A lot.

wussup? remember me from years ago driving RITZ mobiles all around town?- I have to be brief. I am shooting a feature length film over the next month and a half called "The Corners" We are having a fund raiser party for it at Kelly's Olympian next Wednesday (Sept. 16) and would love to see you there. It starts at 7:30 with screenings of unreleased episodes of my series "The Free Box" then a screening of "Winona" -a short written and directed by the writer of "The Corners". Then "Stella Grace", Portland's premier trip hop band takes the stage followed by a DJ set from "Buster Douglas". This comment is not for Travis; it's for his fans. Any of you who, like me, sadly do not have personal relationships with the man. If you've found your way to this page, you clearly have good taste in music or perhaps a friend who's adamant about their own. So it should come as no surprise to you how long you can linger in but one of his songs and cartwheel through a wide range of emotions.
What you might not know is that Travis is one of the kinder, humbler souls it has ever been this musician's pleasure to call friend- even if it is just on MySpace- and I'm certain his wife, family, and friends would second me on this one.
