A warm welcome to the official page for the extravaganza that is Trawler Race Festival Weekend 2008. This annual event continues to raise a great deal of money for the RNLI and other local charities whilst attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. This year the festival will stretch across the May bank holiday weekend which falls on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th of May. An abundance of incredible bands will be performing on our newly revised stage positioned on the beautiful Weymouth harbour. Expect bigger and better things than any other previous year! It's an amazing weekend! We hope to see you there!

Im in missoriy m8 here 4 6 months then i go 2 mertal beach for christmas wich will be nice. thats only 5 days a week you part timer. but it sounds intteresting doing something different every day. hey, were a seven piece band from southampton, called THE MOPES, our stuff is hard to put into a certain genre, were totally different to whats out there at the momment, we have just finished 6 days in the studio and have just uploaded 2 new tracks,
1. poison in the rain
2. oil and religon
it has an old side and new and really is quite refreshing, there is also a video now for "myserious night" sought of like south park?!. people will love our stuff but its just a case of getting our music heard which is bloody hard work!
our music is original, and for all the hard work we put in to our songs surely at the very least it deserves to be heard.

I haven't been to trawler race for years do don't know anything about Trawler Race Day 2007. Last time I was there was 1987 and that's a bit hazy too, however, I'm delighted to see from the pictures that not much has changed.
It took me years to realise there were trawlers at trawler race day? Is it just me?
