ABOUT TRE AMICI MUSIC:
Tre Amici Music is a splinter group of Tre Amici, a coffee and wine bar in Ybor City. (www.yborbunker.com) We crash the joint once a week on Thursdays, and the setting couldn't be better. With a view of Centennial Park behind the performers, and a warm, funky ambiance inside, Tre Amici @ The Bunker is an incredibly conducive atmosphere to hold an event like this. Our performers have expressed how comfortable the layout was, and feel like it is the perfect neighborhood joint to be a part of the community and both perform and be exposed to other artists in the area that have a similar love of music.
Show times are from 7:30p.m. - 9p.m., with 3 songwriters per night given 1/2 hour each. We can fit up to 4 people in the stage area, depending on the size of their instruments. No drum sets, please. If you're not sure if you can fit, just contact your host...
ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Jessie is a songwriter/photographer/cat juggler who, with her husband Paul, like to paint hair on their upper lips and run through the streets wearing pink tutu's screaming "the Canadians are coming!!!"...
...okay, so maybe only the first half of that is true. But they do like to have fun. Her father, Jerry Merrick, is a singer/songwriter from the Greenwich Village glory days whose songs have been recorded by Richie Havens, B.J. Thomas, and Jerry Jeff Walker. So Jessie grew up listening to his eclectic musical tastes and stories of life, love and music in the 60's, and thus formed her perpetually skewed view of how life should be.
Jessie writes in third person. All. The. Time.
RULES OF BUNKER PERFORMANCES:
1. ORIGINAL MUSIC ONLY. We're an independent coffee shop that is home to independent musicians with independent minds. You don't need to copy anyone. Your simply wonderful as you are.
2. There *is* no rule #2!
