I read and collect books. I like Stepen King, horror and signed limited editions the most but I'm somewhat eclectic in my selection of books. I have lifetime subscription to several small press publishers or lines of books some of which will have me money ahead with in the next two years. I make custom boxes and slipcases for books as a hobby and you can check out my blog to see some of what I've made. I'll be posting pics of all the new items I make in the future.
About me: I grew up in what used to be a small rural town. Life was simple and good. I hunted and fished. The only thing that really made me unusual then was that I also Fenced Epee. I was ranked 2nd for two years and first for one year in the under 19 age catagory and qualified for the Junior Olympics three times. I was able to afford to go the last time but I only made it into the quarter finals. I ended up in the US Navy and spent 10 years in the nuclear power program. I was a machinist mate and was submarine qualified. I served on the USS City of Corpus Christi for 4 years and 14 days, roughly 76% of that time was spent away from home port. During one deployment we were submerged for 89 days straight. Shortly after I got out of the service I meet the woman that would become my wife. Barb and I have been married since 1993. I became an instant dad to three wonderful kids and we added one more to the bunch so that we would be an even half dozen. I've ran boilers for a roofing and a candy factory and I've worked at an oil refinery since I left the Navy but for the last 9 years I've been an operator at a small combined cycle power plant that recovers methane gas from a landfill for it's fuel. It's a nice small group of people, like all places their are negatives but overall I'm happy to be there.

Please accept this Blueberry Bonanza for your very own Willy's Sweet Shop. Please send a sweet back to me because I'm trying to find a Golden Ticket and the more I play, the more Chocolate Bars I earn. The more you play, the more money that is raised for St. Jude Children's Hospital, a great charity that supports the needs of children with cancer.
Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE is now in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten so far:
“SACRIFICE is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend SACRIFICE.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
Thanks for accepting the request. If you have any short stories, poetry, or artwork collecting dust within your mind or computer maggots on your desktop or laptop, then send them our way. Deadline for submission is July 30. Check out our homepage and blog for more information.
Thanks for the friendship Rich! Just FYI Brian Keene will be in Bemidji for the production of TERMINAL at the end of this month. Good time to get books signed. ~Justin
For your holiday reading by the yule fire of the computer monitor, I offer "Christmas, the Hard Way." I wrote this short fantasy tale about magic and Christmas more than a decade ago as a gift for friends and family and I've now posted it on my website. I hope my MySpace friends will enjoy it for the first time this year.
For those who'd like a rockin' Christmas Carol to go with their reading, I've also added a song to my MySpace profile that I wrote and recorded a few years back called "Show Me Christmas". Just click on my MySpace profile to listen!
