About me:
i'm theresa. i'm 26 years old. i'm pinay (filipina-american). i was born and raised in new england, lived in southern california (OC and Los Angeles) for about six years finishing school and working in publishing. i now live back in new england and work full-time as a technical writer, still chasing my dreams of being a "real" writer. i live with my dude and our babygirl.parenting is most definitely hard work and it's forced me to grow up overnight. there's no more clubbing, no more frivolous shopping, and no more of the normal shit most 25 year olds do. but there isn't a more profoundly rewarding experience than being a mom. sehana is my new universe, my sun, my moon, and my stars. she shows me every day what's most important in life: a smile in the morning, a warm day, laughter.
after working in publishing and getting printed in some regional rags, i still write a lot of crap nobody wants to read, but i've seen worse things hit newsstands. i am most certainly a lone wolf, and i don't work well with type-a personalities, the sickeningly sentimental, or people who endlessly talk about how awesome they are. i am annoyed by bad writing (and bad writers), people who give people names to everything they own, people who believe that their pets are like actual children, the use of "irregardless," and ironically, grammar nazis.
