“treiber“ is the name of the Electro Band of Christoph Ehlers and Tobi Morare, two producers from Berlin, Germany.
Both first met in 2002, when they were still working on different projects.
The Band “REVOLT” (Universal Music /Vertigo) was Tobis main project from 2002 to 2006. He played drums on several “REVOLT”-Gigs and Support-Shows for Bands like “Velvet Revolver“, “Blackmail“, “The Subways“, “Muff Potter” and “The Libertines“.
He also dedicated his talent as a drummer to his own electronic productions, especially in Drum..n..Bass and Break-Beat projects.
Cristoph Ehlers started as DJ in the late 90s and quickly recognized that he wanted to produce his own electronic music.
He tried out different styles of electronic music and first succeeded with Remix Releases for Artists like Axel Bartsch (Sportclub), Solar&Poppcke (Meerestief) and Jacob Richter (Use Me Music).
Christoph holds a degree in Audio Engineering and a Bachelor of Recording Arts from the SAE-Institut, Berlin. In 2008, the two producers decided to work together and quickly they found a way to produce their music.
In the first year of “treiber” they produced a repertoire of songs in which they focused in particular on the name of the band.
Here they got support from different guest musicians and vocalists. It didn’t take long for the first remixes for national and international artists.
Beside the live-realization of their existing songs, they are also currently working on the production of new songs and further remixes, whereby influences of Rock and Pop still playing a leading role.
