It is rare to find an artist that can fuse different musical genres and create their own unique style. Through a seamless blend of rock, pop, hip hop and reggae, Mollie Minskoff has proven this is possible. The twenty-two year old actress/musician has embraced these musical worlds with an approach unlike any other. Through her eclectic style and straightforward attitude, there is a true honesty that comes across in her music.

Born in New York City, Mollie moved to Seattle at the mere age of three. Living in this newly adopted city, Mollie had the self-determination and confidence to pursue her music career. Through her mother’s support and guidance, she was enrolled in acting classes at this young age; thus discovering her raw and natural vocal talent. Excelling in her classes, it quickly became apparent that Mollie was destined for stardom.

While Minskoff resided in New York, California and Boston, it is Seattle where she considers herself a true native. Evident from her track titled “Seattle Days,” Mollie pens her life experience growing up in the city she fell in love with. Whether she derives her material from friendships, travel, or life observations, Mollie has a “tell-it-like-it-is” attitude. Speaking her mind, Mollie’s music is the definition of real.

From her track titled “Multiple Choice,” where she showcases how her tough exterior is perceived by others, to her track titled “Fedora and Jean Shorts,” a reggae style tongue-and-cheek play on the shallowness of California love, her ability to speak her mind shines through in each lyric.

Inspired by legends such as The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley, her fused genre style reflects just that. Each track embraces several different musical elements, as well as her unique improvisational style that she blends into each track. It is this uniqueness that separates Minskoff from the rest. She is one singer/songwriter who is not afraid to take risks – her music is honest, relatable, and genuine; but most of all, it’s real.
