Tremor Tones started out in a garage in the mid-nineties under the name of flying island. Our music then was much inspired by the grunge wave that swept over the world with bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Alice in Chains. In the late nineties the band split up but the core members and songwriters Peter Bladh and Rudolf Antoni remained. And out of the ashes of that burned down garage rose Tremor Tones with a more personal sound. In the first line-up there was Pär Gustafsson on the drums, and Glenn Alfredsson on the bass. In this period the band produced two demo recordings. The first one, recorded in March 2002, resulted in a number of gigs in Gothenburg and the immediate surroundings. The second demo (with the track Pornstar) was produced in June the same year and was awarded a rating of four out of five in the Gothenburg paper.
Shortly after the second demo recording we lost our drummer Pär, who (we think) moved to Venezuela to engage full time with the genetic manipulation of some sort of plant. Last we heard he was mellowing out in the company of some guys called Frederico and Sanches. He sounded happy... confused but very happy.
Starting over with the new drummer Micke Pihl meant a pause from live performances but also a chance to rethink and recreate the sound of Tremor Tones. Micke added a lot of punk rock kick-ass energy to the music which resulted in the red inferno of Demo #3. With songs like When/if, Foggy moods and My only life we wanted to transcend our mellow grunge-inspired America-centered past and move on into the next millennium.
With a new attitude, a new kind of up-beat rock our standards read "Urban Rock" and the sound is that of the beating heart of inner-city Europe.
In the spring of 2004 Tremor Tones entered the studio and once again delivered the experience of throbbing desire and quivering anxiety. The songs All or nothing, Something made of light, Radio, and Inhale/exhale combine energy and sexual potency with a more contemplative stroke. Demo #4 is up for grabs. Let's see if you're ready to take it all inside.
