About me:
Trent Dean has worked professionally in the music industry for more than 20 years, with experience in the spotlight as musician, artist, and DJ, to behind the scenes as promoter, A&R executive, manager, and producer.
As a musician, his wide range of experience includes recording with greats such as Billy Preston, Jeff Porcaro, and Jimmy Iovine; performing on headline tours around the world for artists such as Judson Spence (Atlantic), Debbie Gibson, and Christian music icon Michael W. Smith; and appearing in numerous music videos, and live MTV shows. Trent was later signed as a solo artist on Chrysalis /EMI
Records, and to Sony Music as a songwriter.
As the founding director/promoter of acclaimed Nashville venue: Rocketown, Trent presented bands like Jars of Clay, and Sixpence None the Richer, long before their platinum-selling hits. As A&R Director for Reunion/Zomba Records, and later VP of A&R for Gravity Records, he has worked alongside numerous Grammy-winning artists and producers, which included signing brit-band - Fono, and current Curb Records artist – Nate Sallie.
The Los Angeles-based Trent Dean Entertainment has provided DJ’s, remixes, and music for film/television such as the FOX show “So You Think You Can Dance”, and a Billboard - charting remix of “It’s My Life” for No Doubt. Known as “DJ to the stars” on nationally syndicated radio show -Open House Party, Trent has been Gwen Stefani’s DJ for parties and events for over 5 years. http://www.trentdeandjs.com
Trent serves as an Adjunct Professor for Belmont University/ Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business, and has a partnership role in Dean|Garrett Artists -consulting and Management. His passion for helping artists and musicians includes GreenLightGo, a program which provides mentoring and unique resources for developing artists who could IMPACT THE WORLD IN POSITIVE WAYS. Most recently, GLG provided support and sponsorships for The Daylights, on their recent sold-out tour with chart-topping Interscope act One Republic.Trent is married, has two awesome sons, and Chino - the best dog ever.
