Turnin’ to Country Between Los Angeles and New York there is a whole lot of America waiting to be discovered for those willing to venture off the beaten path. Turnin’ to Country is your vehicle to the road less traveled. Using a journalistic approach country music artist, Tresa Jordan, travels across the country visiting small towns that may not be on the national radar, yet each has its own cultural, historical and artistic appeal and charm as well as fairs, festivals and expos. Shot in High Definition and edited in a very contemporary style, Turnin’ to Country artistically combines modern-day techniques with old time charm. “This show is about bringing beautiful small towns, and the stories surrounding them, into the living rooms of millions of people who either can’t travel or who are looking for new places to go for a weekend get-away or a vacation. I’m from a small town and when I visit these places, it’s kind of like going home for me. The people, the stories they tell about their town, the pride they have in it, it’s really touching and inspiring.” says Jordan. Tresa got the idea for Turnin’ to Country when she was traveling across America performing at Country and Bluegrass shows and festivals. She found that she was learning new things, eating great food unique to each area, and hearing stories about people that she never would have known about if she hadn’t been there herself. She found that she desired to get back to the places where the locals are genuine and the pace is slower. Then it dawned on her. If she felt this way, surely other people would too. As Tresa searches to find out what makes each town or event special, the nice surprise turns out to be the unique and heart-warming stories of its citizens. Whether it’s a bronze sculptor with international recognition living the quiet life in a small town, or a handicapped stock-dog trainer who doesn’t let her disability keep her from doing what she loves, you’ll find yourself getting wrapped up in each moment. Tresa has a way of adding her own special touch to every episode and viewers fall in love with her personality and warmth. The diary-styled show has Tresa giving her afterthoughts of her visit, therefore allowing for more information to be given than simply what is shown on the screen. With artists, musicians, storytellers and craftsman, from festivals, town squares to historic places, Turnin’ to Country is your guide to a wonderful journey across undiscovered America.

TRESA'S TV SHOW TURNIN TO COUNTRY AIRED ON NATIONAL TV JAN 08 - JUNE 08 AND WILL RETURN NEXT SEASON March 2009. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS ON TRESA'S TV SHOW! WWW.TURNINTOCOUNTRY.COM
A contemporary take on a classic country record, Jordan keeps it simple, keeps it tasty
and has more going for her than her Breck girl looks.
Christ Spector, Midwest Record
Jordans voice has the kind of honest, undiluted sensibility and sensuality that can
neither be faked nor taught. Its a rich, sonically true, emotionally piercing quality that
marvelously punctuates and embellishes the messages on pieces like Angels Cry,
Hold On To You or Long Time Comin Round.
Ron Wynn, Nashville City Paper
Her music will resonate with country fans, because she's singing their life back to them.
She's found the words and the music to communicate the trials and triumphs of ordinary
people. She doesn't sing about fairytales, she sings about real life.
--Music City News
This is a thoroughly satisfying album chock full of feelgood country pop tunes that are
memorable and effective. (5 +++)
-- Don W. Seven, BabySue
Jordans music walks a tightrope between traditional country music and todays popular
country pop sound.
Greg Yost, The Grab Bag
This self-titled album uses pure acoustics to obtain a strong, raw country style, allowing
Tresas crisp voice to tell the story.
Tina Swanson, Music City Nashville
She braved many obstacles in her career to bring the world this masterpiece of lyric and
song.
--Jeff Jones, Positive Entertainment
Once in a great while, out of the blue, comes an Indie masterpiece, such is the case of
Tresa Jordan... this has not been a stellar year for music, Jordan has given me hope again
that it still exists. Also, that good acoustic/bluegrass still lives.
--Jim Moulton, Country Stars Online
Tresa Jordan's debut is simply one of the sweetest country records I've heard this year.
Aptly self-titled, it's full of natural touches but never overdone: her beautiful melodies
complimented by crisp production, soulfully sung without a hint of vocal acrobatics.

Thank you for all your help, support and prayers. Without you none of this would be possible. I appreciate each and everyone of you more than you will ever know. I sincerely hope I brought some pleasurable moments to you through my music. I began playing piano at nine years old and studied Classical piano in high school.I love to play many styles as well as the guitar. I graduated from Florida School Of Performing Arts. I enjoyed performing on stage and the Characters I played were an exciting part of my training. I also attended Dr. Martin Luther College for a teaching degree, however after a few years decided to pursue my musical career in Nashville Tennessee where I had visited in the summers a few times with my parents from Florida. My dad and I would set out early in the morning on Music Row handing out my cassette tape and promo pkg. What an exciting time of my life as a young teen especially meeting Archie Jordan the hit writer for Ronnie Milsap and having an invitation to do some demos in his studio next to his home just outside of Nashville. I was about fourteen at the time. I ended up saying good bye to Mom and Dad in Florida where I was raised and moved to Nashville at nineteen years old. I got a job at the West End Cooker Restaurant in Nashville waiting tables and toured with my band I later got together on the weekends. Times were hard. I had no idea how I was going to make it but somehow I struggled through it all and I will never forget the valuable experiences I gained as a young artist trying to make my way amongst many young artist living their own dream in Nashville as well. With much prayer and determination I made it through those tough years and now living my dream after many years here in Tennessee. I have toured the Country and Have performed and opened for musicians I dreamed of like Montgomery Gentry in 2005 and then Billy Ray Cyrus who I did a radio show with and opened for Rhonda Vincent to name a few. I love doing Fan fair every year in Nashville and Christmas for kids. While continuing over the years writing music I had two of my songs from my first album to hit the music Row Country Chart as well as other charts. One of my songs I co wrote from my album Angels Cry ended up on GAC TV for a year. I had been thinking about sending in one of my videos to a TV Station so I did and landed a slot on national TV with my own program called 'Turnin To County' so that took another journey of filming my project for TV and quite another challenging but rewarding adventure. My show aired on national TV from Jan 08 - June 08 and will return in Feb 26 2009 on BLUE HIGHWAY TV www.bluehighwaystv.com. Yes it is on line and also Comcast. I am currently writing songs for my new album and hopefully will be released in 09. Thanks again for your help, support and prayers! My best always, Luv,Tresa

Hey Tresa, I absolutely love Your TV show, bluehighways, I turned my cable off because there wasn't anything worth watching on. You have hit on something worth watching and you do a great job as well! I'll definately be watching from now on! I love the accoustic pickin' and the hometown feel, reminds me of when I was younger and we used to go up to my grandma's (granny's) house and all of the family would get together and play bluegrass. Keep up the great work!
