Del is a delicate man who collects state spoons, and his father is a very famous actor.
Who?
Miss Lady's mother...she worked for him, the old man.
Who?!
WHO ......?!
I'm not going to name names, but let's just say those tablets didn't come down the mountain by themselves.
Miss Lady had a TOP TEN hit (GERMAN RADIO) with her version of Bill Whither's 'USE ME UP' in '99, and Del called relented and returned her calls once the money dried up. She's a shoplifted bag of ambiton and he knows his ways around knobs and buttons.
Dos diablos was born. Played in the Silverlake bar clubfoot and the momentum grew.
‘Dos’ wasn’t easy to become a 'Tres', but HE wanted inclusion, so Lars had to pull out all the stops.
In retrospect, Lars likes to think it was more than just his unbridled passion for what ‘Dos Diablos’ was doing, but rather what has become his specialty:
----- a Honduran/ Vietnamese fusion he just mastered as a recent graduate of L’ Culinary institute in SAD RASH, MISSOURI.
Lars knew it would be his “Hon-Vie” creation that would make Del and Miss Lady beg for his presence………So, Lars invited Del and Miss Lady to come to his Atwater Village residence and endure his appeal to join in with his culinary delight.
It was over fried plantains and chutney that LARS mapped out his vision for the band, TRES DIABLOS.
With Lars being a little more artistic minded, he explained how Del and Miss Lady were never able to realize the full impact that they could have:
-MORE than a local following,
-MORE than just a national sound,
--a world sound.
MAYBE thru touring, MAYBE thru internet. MAYBE thru touring and internet.
But with economy. And a little bit of dignity.
Spread the word and enjoy the music. Or vice versa. Whichever you please.
