Guitarist Trevor Giancola is active on the Toronto Jazz scene, performing with Fabio Ragnelli, Ethan Ardelli, Jon Maharaj, Devon Henderson, Dan Fortin, and Trevor Falls, among others. He has studied with Ben Monder, Lage Lund, George Muscatello, and many Toronto-based jazz guitarists. Trevor attended Humber College from 2001-2005, graduating with honors, and was awarded the Peter Harris Guitar Award. In 2003, Trevor attended the Banff Center For The Arts Summer Jazz Workshop Led by Dave Douglas on scholarship, where he attended clinics and workshops led by Dave Douglas,Mark Turner and other notables. Current projects: The Fraser Calhoun/Trevor Giancola 4tet, Fabio Ragnelli 4tet/trio, The Trevor Falls 4tet, and The Trevor Giancola Trio. Trevor is coming into his own as a player and is getting to the point where most of the time he sounds good, and sometimes very good.
