"Have a Drink on Me" - the new album - to be released in April 2009!!!! Listen for the new single "Texas Partyin' Man" on radio around Texas!
Scholars maintain that the Trey Stapleton Band was born at the Dizzy Rooster in Austin, TX, circa 2006. That's where John Jammal approached Trey after an acoustic show at the Velvet Spade (presently, the Mohawk) and said, "I play drums." So Thad Bergstrom, a co-worker of Trey's, purchased a bass guitar and rounded out the three-piece that started playing as a band at the Velvet Spade. Just a few weeks later Jeff Thomas joined the group on lead guitar and they began a weekly show at the Dizzy Rooster. A few months later they released their first recording, "Drinking Irresponsibly", which consisted of 6 original songs.
It has been two years since "Drinking Irresponsibly", but the band spent 6 months in the studio in 2008 to complete their upcoming album, "Have a Drink on Me", which will be released in April of 2009. Many great artists contributed to this album including Grammy Award winning artists Redd Volkaert and Cindy Cashdollar, as well as Haydn Vitera, AJ Vallejo and Omar Vallejo. If you'd like to see the Trey Stapleton Band live you can find out where they will be playing on the show schedule above. So if you like cold beer and Texas, come out and join us for a lot of laughin', a little cryin', and a whole lot of drinkin'!
.. For Sure!!! I have your CD in my car right now C: Yall are really good!! Im surprised I didnt know about yall sooner!! Do you mainly stay in the Central Texas area for gigs??
Round Rock Saturday Night!!! Nothing gets the heart pounding like playing a show and then driving through Williamson County!!!! Yeeeeaaahhhaaaawww... But, more importantly, get your ass to Shiner's tomorrow night. This one is important to me. We're going to video it, sell our beautiful new shirts and thongs, and the women are going to instinctively flow like the salmon of capastrano.
To call saturday night's performance at Boomerz anything less than life-changing would be a gross understatement. Damn good time. Trey, somehow you manage to sing on key when you can't even speak in sentences! Good work.
