Trial by Jury has been a working/touring band for about 4 years now. Along the way they've managed to play roughly 200-300 shows at venues here, there, and in between. Making friends and great fans everywhere they've went. TBJ has a unique sound that blends and cultivates all of the influences each of the members have picked up throughout the years. With lead man, Ryan Keef(Kyan Reef), bringing his Fusion-Guitar/Raspy Voiced background. Bassist, Dave Pointer, bringing a colonel claypool-istic thump-slap technique, Drummer, Katie Herron, with her progessive fusion style, and new guy, Jason Stewart. They're simply unstoppable. Individually they are extrordinary musicians, but together they bring a presence that cannot be matched. Combining their styles, influences, and somewhat humorous stage presence, they bring some of the best music since sliced bread. TBJ is based between Fort Payne, AL and Decatur, AL. They can make loyal fans and strike up a following ultimately anywhere they play. So they travel and go where the music takes them. But they are certainly not limited to one place. In fact, you're likely to see them playing anywhere from Kentucky to North Carolina to Mississippi, and everywhere in between. So definitely keep your eyes peeled to catch them in a venue near you. Trial by Jury is constantly writing new original material and thinking of ways to bring an impact to the people through their music. After a long, long string of shows in early and mid-2006 they went into the studio and recorded their debut album. It included 9 original tracks. Including a couple tracks with their good friend Jamie Bell. It was released February 9th, 2007, as they held their CD Release concert In their hometown of Fort Payne. With the help of some local friends(Spunwagon, Russell Gulley & Friends, and Jamie Bell) they had a great night of music and hosted one of the biggest crowds Fort Payne had seen in a long time. At the end of the night they brought out another good friend, The seasoned grammy-nominated keyboardist Johnny Neel, formally of The Allman Brothers Band, and Gov't Mule.(www.JohnnyNeel.com) It was truly a great night of music, and one that will not be forgotten. TBJ has a few friends that occasionally go on the road, sit-in, and jam with them at random venues. They've recently started updating their repertoire to bring new grooves to their fans. The same old songs, although fun, get to be tiresome and boring after a while. Not only for the band, but for the crowd as well. Be on the lookout for TBJ, They'll be coming to a venue near you soon.
