Latin beats fused with traditional classic rock contribute to the musical flavors behind the sounds of the bilingual Latin-English quintet Tribäl.
The band's Southern Californian musical roots are the conjoining factor between vocalist Sal Jimenez, guitarist Juan Perez, and bassist Daniel Delgadillo, who formed a close knit friendship shortly after high school, and sought to begin their musical careers as a band.
Lead guitarist Eros Sanchez and drummer Fernando Oviedo joined shortly after, adding an additional dynamic sound. In 1999 the band became Tribäl and made a wave in the Latin Rock scene by 2001. By 2002 Tribäl headlined at venues such as House of Blues and The Hard Rock. Tribäl hit the studio (TRUONE RECORDS) in 2003 to record their 1st debut album “Rock Bajo El Sol”. The independent album was sold in the US and Mexico. In 2005 they began performing on stages with major artists from Mexico such as Fobia and Inspector.
To this date Tribäl continues to headline at high profile venues such as The Mayan Theater, House of Blues, Hard Rock Live, The L.A Convention Center, Universal Studios Block Party Main Stage, The Viper Room and more.
Recent exploits of the band include winning best pop rock band of L.A, and receiving corporate sponsorship by Gibson Guitars, Tabasco, Time Warner Cable, Monster energy drink and Jack Daniel’s. With the national release of the band’s second album “Saturday Night Rock”, its hit single “Tekila” reached the 2 spot on the national Radio & Records Spanish Rock alternative chart for five weeks, and remained charted consistently on the Top 20 for a solid fourteen weeks.
In keeping with Tribäl’s momentum, the band has big plans for the coming year. To succeed their newest album “Saturday Night Rock”, Tribäl is back in the studio working on new material for their anticipated English record. Staying true to their roots, Tribäl consistently strives to deliver a perfect blend of signature style with dynamic sound
