Tribal Medicine started as an outlet for underground music on the south coast in 2004 and with early parties in Bournemouth and Portsmouth supplying the discerning grooves of Mark EG, Dave The Drummer, Aaron Liberator amongst many others, a solid basis and emerging fanbase was created.
Things really picked up pace in the Summer of 2007 when resident DJs Kai_1 and Gav Ravenous moved the event down to Brighton and set up home for a year at the Ocean Rooms which enabled the vibe of the party to expand across 3 rooms and introduce the sounds of breaks and electro house, as well as supplying the usual funky dancefloor techno and psy trance to the masses, courtesy of the Psy-Co crew.
The subsequent successful parties saw the likes of Freq Nasty, Micky Slim, The Rogue Element, Aquasky, Chris Carter and DJ Kristian rub shoulders among some of the finest DJs from the underground scene of the last 10 years and put Tribal Medicine well and truly on the map.
In 2008 Tribal Medicine has been invited to get involved with parties such as Antiworld in London and Digital Playground in Nottingham as well as at the Waveform Festival... and continue to run the monthly bar sessions @ Foggys in Petersfield, Hampshire (every third Sat of the month) .
In 2008 Tribal Medicine have also been supplying the brilliant Overload the Fort parties with an alternative room of deep and twisted electro, techno and psy and will continue to do so in 2009.
These monumental parties can be best be described as an alternative clubbing experience as the events are held on a 200 year old military fort a mile out to sea from Portsmouth’s Gun Wharf Quays, where the atmosphere and crowd are always second to none.
Tribal Medicine is a coming together of DJs and artists who have been involved in running club events and free parties since the turn of the millennium and will continue to help keep the scene alive for as long as possible, with the emphasis on party production courtesy of 20K (with access to another 20K) of Funktion 1 Sound, extreme tribal UV decor and Lasers as well as the finest in underground grooves and tantalising extras such as fruit bearing cave girls, magicians and much much more!

Astrix returns to the UK for his most ambitious tour yet. On Fri 30 January he makes his debut at Bgham’s Q Club alongside local legend Sabretooth, who’ll be launching his new album, and Dejavoo live. Then on the Sat he’s following in the footsteps of dance music greats Tiesto, Paul van Dyk and Infected, taking on one of the world’s top venues, the o2’s incredible Indigo. As well as playing a live set of upfront tracks from his forthcoming third album ‘Red Means Distortion’ — and of course all the classic tracks that have kept him in the DJ Magazine Top 50 for the third year running — he’ll be launching new digital EP ‘One Step Ahead’, a limited edition multi-media production available on USB stick only. He’ll also be bringing along HOMmega label mates X-noiZe, Krunch and Delirious, who’ll be joined by the Antiworld residents. With X-noiZe and Krunch launching their new albums ‘Wheel of Misfortune’ and ‘Booster’, this promises to be one of THE psy trance events of 2009. The credit crunch is hitting everyone hard and we know you want to party more than ever… so we’re keeping advance ticket prices as low as we can. As our New Year’s present to our loyal fans, all advance tickets are being kept to just £20 (London)/£12 (Bgham) and capacity restricted to 1200 (London)/600 (Bgham).
