Influences
In the previous years Tribal Style™ has performed with: Steel Pulse, Burning Spear, Third World, The Skatalites, Aswad, The Slackers,Skindred, Junior Gong , Toots and the Maytals, Israel Vibrations,Yellowman, James Brown, Eek-A-Mouse, Don Carlos, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers amongst others.
Tribal Style™ has attracted many listeners with their original roots reggae foundation. Together for some time now, Tribal Style™ has transcended beyond the typical world beat/reggae genre and have generated their sound to be completely diverse and unique. With the combination of such talent, its no wonder Tribal Style™ music is so distinct. Tribal Style™ is a self-production team, independently writing, arranging, producing and recording their own songs. Their music is vibrant and has a magnetic quality thanks to God.
Tribal Style™ consists of five members, three of which are brothers:
Muthoni[toni](keyboards/vocals) Tokunbö[tk](drums) and Mugabe[mug] Tenn(bass/vocals), Blake Yeager(guitar), and Micheal(dj blenda)Mendolusky(percussion/dj). The Tenn brothers were born in St.Andrew/Kingston, Jamaica. Jamaica School of Music and Collony House( the Hicklings) assisted in the education process in this music from an early age through roots-rockers-folk-ska-jazz-classical and Nyabinghi drum sessions with their Dad(orthodox ras)help brings the solid foundation to Tribal Style™. Their upbringing allowed them to be naturally influenced by pioneers such as the Wailing Souls, Joe Higgs, Noel Thaxter, 'Farma',the Rastafarians and Black Uhuru. Blake Yeager, his years of experience with previous group projects brings originality to this rustic type roots music. Micheal(dj blenda)Mendolusky, Boston native whose been in the Tampa arts underground scene holds it down on the percussions and turntables. The Tenn brothers' father, Roddy, who played drums on some of our great reggae legends early recordings plays with the band often, bringing the original essence of Rastafarian drums to the music.
Tribal Style™ has been rocking shows/concerts almost every weekend since their teens.

Tribal Style™ has a strong local following in Central Florida and
Southern California. They have interviewed/performed on
radio stations such as IRIE FM in Jamaica, WMNF in Tampa, FL., and TVJ in Jamaica.
