"With its promising EP "My Guest List" and a powerful onstage presence, power-pop trio Tribella dispels the stereotype that female groups in music are nothing more than pretty faces." - The Daily Texan
"‘My Guest List’ is a confident, melodic & strident opening salvo... sounding something like Interpol’s charming younger sisters." - Americana UK
"The band has crafted a sound that’s a perfect blend of pop-rock and new wave, but their attention to song craft is what sets this band apart from others in the local music scene." - KUT 90.5FM Song of the Day
"Their latest album, ‘My Guest List’ was hammered out last year in an Austin studio, and it’s terrific stuff. ‘Saucer Eyes’ spits out some saucy lyrics, and it’s probably my favorite and not just because it has what feels like a little Texas twist at the end. ‘How Long’ roars and rolls as if you were a jackrabbit squatting on the center stripe and they were the semi-truck with the pedal to the metal. You might have to restrain yourself from breaking chairs. Show up, little men, and enjoy." - Columbia Daily Tribune (Columbia, MO)
"Equal parts indie and power pop, with just the right amount of new wave put in for good measure." - TX Music Matters (KUT 90.5)
"This Austin, TX all-woman trio admirably channel several indie pop progenitors (I won’t use Liz Phair, even though it is fair {ha!}). Guitarist/singer Sarah Glynn’s slick fretwork fleshing out the rhythym section’s Interpol-esque drive quickly puts to rest any notion that you’re in for a night of some cute girls playing simple bar chord songs about how stupid boys are. These ladies are power poppers goddamnit!" - 2bloxdc.com (Washington, D.C.)
TOP SONG PICK: Week 6/8/09 - 5. Tribella - “Saucer Eyes” -Girl power, fun jangly stuff from Austin,TX. - Lucid Culture (NYC)
"...harbor a witty sense of humor and a penchant for clever notes." - austininst
"They're talented, they have good instrumental skills, good voices, and good production. The title track, 'My Guest List,' and 4 'Saucer Eyes' are notable for their girl-power, I don't need some man to treat me wrong, I'm-in-a-rock-band attitude." - Crappy Indie Music
"The Daily Texan reported that Tribella ‘dispels the stereotype that female groups in music are nothing more than pretty faces.’ Get your full dose of new wave, indie, power pop at Two Stick (Oxford, MS) on Saturday, June 27." - Oxford Town (cover story, Oxford, MS)
"Tribella is reminiscent of Liz Phair with a touch of new wave sensability... there really is no excuse to miss this show." - austinsoundcheck.com
"The lead singer sounded like Margo from Cowboy junkies. And there was major Clash nostalgia in ‘Feel Feel’." - perfectporridge.com (St. Paul, MN)
"[Tribella] plays smart and sharp rock that's part power-pop, part indie-rock and part new wave."- San Antonio Express
"'My Guest List,' is a melodic pop rock song that wastes no time in capturing your attention with soothing vocals and catchy beats that will quickly make their way into your head." -Paisano (UT-S.A.)
"Imagine if the rest of the country took a closer look at this unconventional trio? ... Then again, it's kind of nice having this gem rocking out in our own personal backyard." - L Style G Style
"Lead vocalist/guitarist Sarah Glynn has a warm register with both earthy and ethereal tints... The album [My Guest List] is an offering that you can pop into your CD player and leave on repeat without worrying about your tastes straying away." - Hybrid Magazine
"This band represents the best of Austin Music. They have great audience interaction. You can see, feel and hear they genuinely are committed to the crowd, fans and music." - Austin music fan
"Tribella did not disappoint...Glynn and company rocked the stage with a reckless abandon." - A Sleepy Company

Biographyby Taj Kalapomma
Earlier this year, The Daily Texan wrote: "With its promising EP 'My Guest List' and a powerful onstage presence, power-pop trio Tribella dispels the stereotype that female groups in music are nothing more than pretty faces." With every performance, the Austin trio has been knocking audiences dead across the US with their shocking musicianship, witty spirit, and powerful, catchy songs. After completing their first US tour, a high-impact 20 date run that culminated with a performance in New Orleans on June 30th, Tribella is back in the studio, working on the follow-up to their press worthy debut EP, "My Guest List."
Tribella's sound defies easy labeling, but comparisons to new-wave, progressive, & indie-rock are all well informed. The group consistently evokes a nostalgia for 90's alternative rock bands, such as Belly, Liz Phair, and Jane's Addiction, while at times is reminiscent of Yes, Rush, and Muse with its infusion of prog-rock song elements and syncopated rhythms.
[End Note]
While finding a cruising altitude alongside hipsters and neo-indie-rockers, Tribella has had to dodge the occasional and vexing “too mainstream” finger-pointing headwind. For those new to the atmosphere, it is worth underscoring that Tribella is forged to withstand temporary climate change, relying solely on the lift of their singular jet stream and space bound trajectory.
Background
The ladies of Tribella do not like to waste time. The trio emerged quickly from the ashes of previous, early-fated projects. Perhaps fortified by their shared near-death experiences, the contending supa-group realized right away they produced music that far exceeded any previous efforts. As a united team, they replaced their dwarf star ambitions with star sites residing within the Perseus Arm and beyond.
Within the decade, Tribella hopes to sell more singles than Elton John’s, “Candle in the Wind,” and more albums than The Eagles “Their Greatest Hits (vol. 1).” They will concentrate their efforts on producing a video more disturbing than NIN’s “Closer,” with better dancing than Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and with more cleverly choreographed treadmill routines than OK Go’s “Here It Goes Again.”
Tribella released their first EP, "My Guest List", featuring 6 original songs in January 2009.
