Rebekah Burton, Keyboards and Vocals: Rebekah Burton was born and raised in Ireland, where she began singing and playing Piano at the age of two. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from DePaul University. Her professional career has included extensive modeling engagements, as well as numerous appearances on stage and in concert all across the United States as an Actor, Singer, Pianist and Keyboard player. Ms. Burton is the founder and bandleader of Tribe of the Outcast, and she is the primary composer of the band’s material.

David Herdan, Lead Guitar: David Herdan was born in Los Angeles, and raised in the Northwest. He studied Classical Piano for several years, and has played Lead Guitar several professional Rock Bands in the Northwest for over twenty years.

Roger Kasner, Bass: Roger Kasner was born in Canada, and raised in Oregon. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Oregon School of Music. He has played Bass and Lead Guitar in several popular Portland area bands including the 1980’s Alternative Rock favorites Napoleon’s Mistress.

Nate Clark, Saxophones: Nate Clark performs regularly in Jazz and Blues bands in both Seattle and San Francisco.

Richard Romeo, Drums: Richard is our newest member...we are very exicted to have found such a talented and experienced drummer. He began learning music at the age of 12 in his Junior High School Symphony, and was honored with becoming the first sophomore percussion section leader in his school's history. He began playing in local bands in around his home town of Jacksonville Fla, at 15. Shortly after, he joined his local union were he competed and won many competitions as a drummer. He had the privilege of performing with the Hilliard-Stills band a well known Southern Rock band that was selected to be the first band to perform at the Jacksonville Beach Pavilion after the Lynard Skynard band plane crash. He moved to Portland in 2001 and has decided to make it his new home.

InfluencesThe many influences of the band range from Pat Benatar, The Cure, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Enya, and Beethoven to Heart. Or from Metallica that just met J.S. Bach at Pink Floyd's house. Rebekah, the lead-singer/composer, writes the music in a Celtic Rock format. She is 100% Irish. Even some words are written in Gaelic. However, her voice is very unique as she studied profesionally, as did Pat, and she switched from opera/musical theater to rock music. The guitarist is Hard Rock shredder that has a "Santana" influence. One great melting pot once the band is all together!
Sounds LikeJ.S. Bach having a nightmare about Gothic Musical Theatre...

   About Tribe of the Outcast
A Portland based band, Tribe Of The Outcast has recently gained serious attention for their driving world beat sound. Their complex and often-intense sound is difficult to compare, yet shades of Emerson Lake and Palmer and an infusion of sometimes Classical, Celtic, (Emerson Lake and Palmer meet the Cure at Enya’s house) and World-Beat music adds to the artistic array. The band members are are all veteran performers...three have classical training, two have degrees in music. The front person is Rebekah Burton. She is from Ireland, and was trained as a concert pianist and opera singer. The other band members have all played in many pro bands and in clubs all over the Portland, Oregon metro area.

MOTORBREATH - The NW Premier Metallica Tribute

Jul 26 2008 6:18 PM

METAL CHURCH and MOTORBREATH! at the Roseland July 30th. The show is upstairs for ALL AGES! Tickets are available through us for only $18, or you can get them through Ticketswest for $26.50 (all of those lovely service charges). Sorry, no checks, it's too close to showtime.

We've got band members in all four corners of the Portland metro area (Hillsboro, Milwaukie, Gresham, and Vancouver) so one of us should be able to get you the tickets...just let us know what part of town you live in.

We are also setup to accept payment through Paypal for ticket purchases. Or we can put your tix in an envelope with your name on it and it'll be at the will-call desk. You'll need to show ID to get them if you've prepaid. Or you can s how your ID and tell the doorman that you're buying them from the MOTORBREATH band members and still pay just $18. Ask us for details when you contact us about making your ticket purchase.
