Me - belly dancers know me as Kawakib or Anthea. I created these songs for dancers to use without worrying about record companies and lawyers. Use it for your performances or your belly dance classes! Just link to my page or my snocaps store and credit me when you can and spread the word. If you use it on your MySpace page or in videos let me know so I can link to you too.
Influences
Middle Eastern music; funk; baroque pipe organ music; dub reggae, Sly & Robbie; trance beats (both club music & Saharan rhythms)
Tribe O music is rhythm-driven belly-funk with a space-goth edge perfect for tribal fusion or group improv bellydance.
Traditional Arabic dance rhythms (ayub, beledi, masmoudi) flavor an Electro-House beat with tempos ranging from slow to medium fast; especially useful for learning or playing finger cymbals, dancing in class or performance. Harmonic, rhythm-driven melodies, with simple top lines, rich undercurrents... rhythmic elements of funk, belly dance, dub reggae, combine baroque styling with a future feel.
